On two seperate saves I have had this happen. I plant a seed, it grows, I harvest the fruit. Then when I try to chop the plant for wood more fruit pops out. Sometimes I can chop it the next time that it shows fruit instead of harvesting. Is there any way to reset this or is it a game ruining glitch?

You can't harvest it if the fruit has already grown on it. You have to catch it right before. I haven't tried it yet but the department store sells a weed Whacker so you can cut down unwanted plants hopr this helps
