How to get the stone/rocks to upgrade or build your house or chi

Um you don't find the rocks in the mine. You have to go find huge rocks I useulay get them in the forest where Luke is always at ( folow the trail upwards from the mine) you can cut down those trees also there is always 3 rocks there. Break them and you get 4 rocks.

The materials to upgrade your house are not in the mine. They are in the caramel river district and at the forest area in the ganachi mine district. In order to get the material you have to smash the bolders with your hammer a few times and when it splits into 4 peices put the hammer away and pick up the peices. It will go strait to storage and will then be called material stone. The other material is material wood and you get it by using the axe. Use the axe to chop down certant trees. You have to swing the axe at the tree a number of times but after a while it will fall and turn into a lot of peices and a tree stump will be left. Chop the stump to get one extra peice of material wood then put the axe away and pick up all the peices. The peices of the tree will go strait to storage just like the material stone and will then be called material wood. After you gather enough materials go to the carpentry shop in the ganachi mine district and talk to Dale at the counter. Select build/upgrade and he will tell you how much gold and materials it will cost. After you get enough and select what you want to build/upgrade he will say how many days it will take to build/upgrade what ever you want. It always takes more than one day for Dale to build/upgrade what you want. Don't forget to whatch your stamina bar when getting the materials!
