As far as I'm aware, there aren't any cheats for money that don't require Action Replay, or the like. You can also only have four animals if you have a barn that is level 2 or higher. You can upgrade your house, coop, and barn at the Carpenter's in the Garmon Mine District.

I really want this game I have been looking at walkthroughs about it but is it really worth it after you get it?
And how much does it usally cost?

I'm unsure of the cheats, but all of the animals aren't on sale right away at the Ranch because you have to upgrade the store. The upgrades are

Upgrade to Level 2: Ship 10,000 G worth of animal products
Upgrade to Level 3: Ship 50,000 G worth of animal products and ring the Green Bell
Upgrade to Level 4: Ship 80,000 G worth of animal products

There actually is a money cheat. ..... If you have a pot and a knife set. ....by decent eggs from the other farm and boil half turn the other half into mayo (dint have a mayo maker? Just buy some it still works) use the knife set with one egg and one mayo you get a type of salad. It self for like 575 and if you by eggs and ingredients you spend about 300

The reason you can't have a goat,sheep,cow and horse is you can only have three types of animals. States in the beginning of the game. This seems to go over peoples head a lot because it's just mentioned not detailed. Sorry if this burst a bubble.
