EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE DORADO IN HARVEST MOON: ANIMAL PARADE FOR WII:

1. CATCHING REQUIREMENTS

You have to be on the LEFT side (whichever left your looking at on the screen)and then cast your line out.

It has to be a rainy day, a day with a thunderstorm, or you are in a hurricane.

It can be caught at any time of the day.

You will need a pretty strong fishing rod. Your fishing rod will earn 130 experience points for catching it. More experience points earned for a fish means more presses of the A button to real it in, costing you more stamina. So, obviously, based on that fact, you can guess that a Pond Smelt is much easier to catch than an Arowana. You must have a pretty strong fishing rod if you have LITERALLY caught every fish other than the Dorado in the game, of course.

2. SELLING THE DORADO:
If you wish to sell it, the Dorado is worth 700 G a peice. However, if it is grilled with the matches*, than it is worth 710 G.

3. COOKING A DORADO:
almost all seafood recipes can have any kind of fish to make them edible, such as grilled herb fish.
( Wild Herb Fish in the oven, btw.)But, as for squid ink spaghetti (Wheat flour Salt Olive Oil Egg Squid in the frying pan, btw.) you can only use a squid.

Using those Matches, you can make Grilled Dorado to restore 700 stamina points. Here is a list of recipes that use the Dorado as it's fish ingredient:

4.PEOPLE WHO LIKE THE DORADO AS A GIFT:

If you want to give a Dorado as a gift to a future spouse or friend, here is who will like it:

Renee: Will love it if it's in Shining Sushi or Shining Sashimi. Renee can be married if you are a boy.

Selena: Will Love it in Shining Sushi. Can be married by a boy player.

Toby: Loves it in Shining Sushi or Shining Sashimi.
Likes it without a cooked recipe, but he likes any other fish uncooked, really.

Can be married to the girl player.

Ozzie: Loves king fish roasted on a bonfire, but likes any other fish on a bonfire.
cannot be married

Paolo: Will love king fish on a bonfire, but likes other ordinary fish roasted on the open flame. He will love Dorado if it's used in Shining Sashimi.
cannot be married

5. ABOUT THE MATCHES I METIONED EARLIER:

The matches can be bought at the general store for 480 G. They never run out, so once you buy one, you're happy with it.

Matches are used to start bonfires. You can't start a fire in your house, your farm's buildings, or public buildings. When you do it outside, It will grill the fish for you after about 3 seconds. Any fish can be baked on the bonfire and eaten or sold.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT:
Neve leave a bonfire sitting there. Use a watering can to put it out. If you don't, Mayor Hamilton will scold you about it the next morning and you will lose friendship hearts with him and everyone else (considering you had friendship hearts with anyone in the first place)!

6. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

I have caught plenty of fish, Including a Dorado, but all this information came from my favorite Harvest Moon help site, fogu.com. It's a really neat website!

THanks for reading my Dorado know-it-all guide!
