If you look, you can notice that some notes are different than others. Usually, in a sequence of notes, the first note you see has a black center but the next note has a large white center. Strum the first note normally and press the correct button for the white-filled note at the right time and you'll be able to play through the tougher songs with more notes more easily. . . If that makes any sense :] It will take some getting used to, just practice getting your timing right and you'll be able to do it.

Hope I helped :]

Ok you don't have to hold down the strum you just press it on long notesbut hold the note and that kid is goning to break his guitar when he does that.

Hyperfox answered:

To do a hammer on and pull off, all you gotta do is keep on hitting the notes without a black circle in the center, instead the will have a white one
You don't need to strum on hammer ons and pull offs, you just gotta hit the buttons

pacman215 answered:

The hammer-ons are a continuous stream, if you hit the note before you don't have to strum for them, so if there is a long stream of them, you din't have to strum, as long as you don't mess up.

Strum red, hold green, don't strum, and hit all the other notes without struming.Sounds simple but it's harder.
