Beating the game does NOTHING for multiplayer. Weapons in offline multiplayer are all there and there are not custom weapon packs like on WFC. When you connect to the internet on Nintendo WFC, you get 5 (I think) weapon packs. Playing matches and completing certain goals awards you XP. When you get enough you rank up. Most weapons, ALL gadgets, and ALL attachments are locked from custom use until you get a high enough rank. Then when you get that rank and unlock weapons, gadgets, and attachments, you need to exit out of any game you're playing, go to WFC main menu, select "Choose Loadout" then select a custom loadout to edit. They are by default set to "Sigmus | Torka T3 (or something like that) | NO GADGETS | NO ATTACHMENTS" and you need to select what you want to edit and choose what you want. When you are done, press "B" (ALL BUTTON REFERENCES ARE FOR WII-MOTE) once, and if you want, change the name of the custom loadout by putting the cursor on it and pressing " " when you are finished click "OK" then press "B" to save data and exit to WFC menu. When you select a game and start playing, there will be 10 seconds where you just look onto a portion of the map and choose your loadout. To pick a custom loadout, use the left and right buttons on the pad and select "Custom X" (X being 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) or whatever you named it. To change loadouts during gameplay, press the button you have set to access the pause menu (by default it's 1), go to "loadout" and use the left and right buttons to access different loadouts. Loadouts change on next respawn and you may have seen this message while loading maps or player screens while connected to WFC. In offline mode you can change weapons by holding down "2" (default button) and using left and right buttons to choose weapon (again, it changes on respawn).

(btw, if you've never connected to WFC with Goldeneye Wii, it may seem like there are some hackers... There are, I warn you (I've literally got killed IMMEDIATELY every time I respawn and have heard about people with unlimited mines ), but at least you do not lose XP [at least as far as I've experienced])

(btw2 when the game shows you XP at the end of a match, it is showing how much you earned that match, not your total [I got really frustrated because I didn't know this and wondered how it would be possible to rank up legit])

Message by: caucow, rank 10 today and not getting anywhere soon.

I don't think you can. Sorry. But like the guy above me said, watch out for hackers. One time all this guy did was just stand there and then all of a sudden, the whole other team blew up. Another time this one hacker somehow had a cheat and proximity mines where EVERY WHERE. I would recommend not using the wii remote and nunchuck to play the game on wifi.
