On the first time through which is a better choice? Killing him with Micahah or Taureno?

Yeah,this one bothered me too, but I found out it really doesn't matter. I went back from the save point after the level, and re-killed him, and the only difference is, maybe, two lines of dialogue. I killed him with Tauroneo if that helps....
Yeah it doesn't matter on the first time only on the second time and later since then there is a third choice which keeps him alive
Like everyone else has said, killing him doesn't matter in the first playthrough. He has to die, no ifs ands or buts here.
The second and higher playthrough is different though. You want to choose the option that makes Micaiah refuse to kill Pelleas. Once you choose this Pelleas will join you in the third part of the game as a Dark Mage and one of the only Dark Magic Users in the game.
