Whenever I play a person online, all they seem to do is hit through- balls over the top and their player is about two yards ahead of my defence, any way to stop them getting ahead of my defence?

Do the same thing back. I think you do c+b to do thode aerial through balls. Also, w=if they get past your defence, hold - and your keeper will charge without them knowing. Then your keeper will probably save you. But he might shoot and your keeper might block it with his hands while outside of the box. Then he will get red carded and you will have to put a player in goal and sub him out for a goalie, or put a player in goal.
