Question for Donkey Kong Country Returns

When selecting a level to play, there are red and blue circles of where I have played. What do the colors mean? because some of the ones that I have finished are blue, and some are red. And I figured maybe it was bcuz of the super guide, but now im not so sure :(

Please help?
~Thanks

It's Blue When You Finish A Level Yourself , and Red When The Super Guide Does It

Guest answered:

Yep, it is because of super guide. If the circles are blue you completed them yourself and if they are still red it is because you had to use super guide to help complete the level.

Guest answered:

When it's blue, it means you have completed it YOURSELF. But when it's red and there is a way leading past it, it means you have used the Super Guide to get past it. I hate it when I have to use the Super Guide lol.
