OMG A TARANTULA!
Ok I just got killed buy a tarantula!
How much is it worth?
What time does it come out?
What season does it come out?
Is there anyway to prevent them?

A tarantula is worth 8,000 bells. It comes out only at night, and so far, it's in the summer. There is no way to prevent them, sorry. I hope I helped. 
The way to catch them is to stand still till he's in catching distance then... WHAM!

The tarantula is worth a lousy 8,000 bells and comes out only at night in summer. I found out they cannot hurt you if you don't have your net out. They will run away from you. Scorpions are no different. I usually go near him VERY slowly then he walks past me and when he is facin away I whip out my net and POW I got me a tarantula! This is how I got my first scorpion and tarantula! Now I only have 8 more bugs to go...

Actually, I have gotten killed by the tarantula in broad daylight in the summer, so they don't just come out at night. I have only seen him once, but it was daytime.

It usually comes out at 10 or 11 pm in the Summer. I just almost got attacked by one. Its worth 8,000 bells. You can't really prevent them...unless you just don't bother with them and walk away and do NOT have your net out.
