Foregein fruit

Is there a way to get foregein fruit without coneecting with other people?
 If not here is my code so you could send me some of your fruit.
 I only have pears.

There is one other way-
Send fruit or furniture to your town friends (animals only), and they might send you back different fruit (foreign) or random furniture.

I have sent oranges (my town fruit) many times to my town characters and so far no one has sent me any fruit back--just other items. That leaves adding a friend to the list together or the coconut tree. You can add me. My town is Star and my character name is Barb with friend code of 1075-5301-6308.

I find that if you ask your neighbors for fruit specifically like say please send fruit friend and enclose your native fruit I got foreign fruit back 50% of the time.

Well I've never done anything but collect fruit I say it doesn't matter what kind of fruit you have.Just sell it or plant it.And I don't know my friend code but I'll try to get it to you soon.

You can send your normal fruit in a letter and you'll get some back or do the coconut trick but always plant coconuts where the san and land meet!

I will add you Joseph so you can come to my town. I now have pears, apples, oranges, cherries, peaches, and coconuts thanks to letters to my neighbors saying "send fruit friends" and enclosing an orange (my town fruit). We play a lot so just try random times.

Okay I just added kca1219 to my friend list. I have been trying to meet up with all of you but your gates are not open when I have Copper search. I usually do that when I first start up the game. If no towns show up, I'll open my gate and wait around.
