Moving on to Act 2

I am new to the game. I have made the bird blind and have visited all areas of the island and inside the hotel many times. I have a glass,feathers,money, printing paper from a suitcase, brochure and motor magazine in my inventory. I can not get poirot to give me a clue, although I have taken all documents from the filing cabinet. How do I procedure further in this game?
