Light Source Required?

Where do I find the light source required in Chapter 2? I have tried digging out flour with the "large metal scoop" but this does not seem to be enabled. When the gears icon appears I do the scoop action but all I then get is a close up of the flour bag.

The flashlight is in the dining room..when you come out of the kitchen, there is a buffet table...top drawer. I had a problem with the flour scooper too but then I got it figured out. You have to keep scooping, pressing the A button. Keep doing it, you'll get the batteries.
