Many people know this, but then again, many people don't. You can get a small speed boost after Jumps with boosts on the edge. You can pull back the steering wheel, like how you do a wheelie, as you start to jump. You will hear a ping and your character will do a trick, no matter the vehicle or person. Then after you land, you will get a small speed boost.
Hope I helped,
When the countdown reaches '2' hold the Acceleration button (Default: 2) and you should receive a speed boost that should give you an edge in the race
In the Jungle Parkway course, there is a bridge right before a cave at the very end. This can be used for your own cheap advantage, as it's path is very narrow. If you drop a Banana Peel or Decoy Box right on the bridge, whoever is behind you is doomed to get hit by it, unless...
There is a way to avoid this, however. If you have a red or green shell, it is possible to hit the box or peel and get rid of it. If the Triple Banana Peels are used? It's hopeless.
When you fall, a Lakitu grabs you up, aclerate just before you touch the ground and you will have a boost.
Please don't get confused with Baby Daisy.
If you obtain 1 star or higher inthe 100cc retro cups, you will unlock Bowser Jr. That was when I got confused . But if you obtain 1+ star in all of the 50cc cups, you will get Baby Daisy.

Give yourself a one lap handicap to increase the difficulty and the fun factor. Just wait a lap, then go. Try and get all the items, and use plenty of shortcuts.
Once you come up with the gaps on the middle, ramp on the edges and then make a trick in mid-air and jump over the gap and it should take away 2.789 seconds off your actual time!
Block Plaza: As the name implies, a lot of blocks around, and some fall as the game progresses.
Delfino Pier: At the halfway stage, you can go into a different area.
Funky Stadium: Lots of ramps for tricks.
Chain Chomp Roulette: Race across a roulette and try not to get squashed by the Chain Chomp!
Thwomp Desert: In a desert, with a gigantic Thwomp right in the middle.
Whenever you go through an item box while either doing races or battles you can quickly tap the "item button" to get your item much faster.
The "item button" is the d-pad for the Wii Wheel controls, the Z button with the Wii remote and Nunchuk controls, the L button for the Classic Controller controls and again the L button for the NGC Controller controls.
Be careful about using the item to soon.
Delfino Square: Mushroom Required
After the small bridge turn right after halfway and use a Mushroom through the mud.

You can only dodge a spiny shell (an item used to slow down the person in first place) under certain circumstances.
1.) Riding through a cannon.
Cannons are only on certain parts of certain courses. You'll need to be lucky to successfully use this method.
2.) Using a mushroom/golden mushroom.
This can be hard to do because you cannot get any mushrooms in first place and any items you save up can be taken away by a POW block or some lightning. You have to use your mushroom as soon as the shell is in your sight. If you're really, really lucky, you may run over a mushroom on the ground at the right moment to dodge the spiny shell.
When you start, don't get a speed boost. Turn right and you'll see an opening in the fence. Follow the path of speed boosts and you'll end up right at the cannon.
MUSHROOM GORGE (MUSHROOM REQUIRED)
At the start stay to the left, use the mushroom, and go off the edge. You'll bounce on two mushrooms and over a wooden fence.
COCONUT MALL (MUSHROOM RECOMMENDED)
At the start of the race, go up the escalator. Stay to the right and don't go down the escalator. There'll be a little opening at the right. Use the mushroom and you'll go through thestore and off the edge.
I'm sure everyone hates being POW'd in Mario Kart Wii, but I discovered that if you shake your Wii remote when smacked by the POW, you'll cancel out the worst part of the effect (spinning on the ground) and do a 360 in air and start driving again! Of course if you haven't learned it already, you can also use jumps to your advantage, half pipe jumps are probably the most handy in this case, when you see that POW block above your head and you're not using it, but you're near a half pipe jump, attempt to get to it and jump before that POW takes effect to save your items (yes, shaking the Wii remote when you get hit by the POW will not save your items, but it can save your position).
Hope this helps you non-pro Kart racers!
When going through the river before the water fall instead of going around the big red hat go through the grass behind it. This will give and edge in time trials mode and in Grand prix it might get you in front.
Here are some of my best tips to use when you have any kind of mushroom item.
Tip 1: If you have a triple mushroom item, than don't instantly use all three, wait for the previous boost to finish and then use the next mushroom.
Tip 2: If you have a Golden Mushroom item, then try to press the item trigger repetitively as fast as possible as it is a time limit, not amount of uses limit.
Tip 3: If going around a sharp turn, then I suggest that you do not use your mushroom, as it could send you into a wall, or off an edge.
Tip 4: If possible, occasionally try and save your mushroom to pull off a nearby shortcut, but don't keep it for too long or else you risk losing it to an item such as lightning.
Tip 5: Whilst holding a mushroom item, if an item like pow appears on the screen, then try to use your mushroom before you are powed, or else you would just end up losing it anyway.
Hope I helped, goal machine.
use king boo and grap an item in waluigi staidium go up a ramp and once you are near another item block and release the item king boo will appear to punch the item block.
For the majority of courses, use the Bowser Bike or Mach Bike for their excellent speed and cornering. For Shy Guy Beach, use the Magikruser. For any easy course like Mario and Luigi Circuit, use the Spear.
When you are hit by a blooper and the screen is full of ink, simply drive over a turbo booster. It clears all the ink of the window.

What you need to do is line up behind a racer (not to close or you might end up bumping into them if their to slow, or to far ,or it won't have any effect.) You'll notice that blue thingies start flying out of your engine. Keep folowing them and you'll get a shield thingy. Then just race past them.

Ok here is some hints to rule on Mario Kart Wii's battle mode. Ok on battle stage 4 as you can tell it's only a lot of squares. If you go to the outer rim of the last square, get one of the boxs. Once that is done get you and your buddys to cover all the exits. There you can hit any one in sight and get like 20 points in 10 seconds. Also, when you are in battle mode, if you hit your own weapons or your team mates weapons, they will not hurt you. Now that you now all that, put it to use and own all your friends and enemys!!
To do tricks go off any jump or a ramp and do the following:
With the wii wheel pull up.
With the gamecube controller use the D-Pad in any direction.
Hope This Helps! Happy Gameing
This is my first cheat ever.
