Not so good...

So, it's the next big game in the Guitar Hero series, enough to get any fan excited for what's to come. Plus, they added the vocals and drums into the mix, so this Guitar Hero is supposed to be great, right? Err... Not really. Most of the songs for the Guitar were boring and kept playing the same easy pattern over and over agian. You have to get to the very end for the actually hard songs, and still those songs were nothing compared to the hardest in Guitar Heroes two and three. They took so much emphasis off the guitar in GUITAR hero that it makes it not as fun to play. The Bass, give me a break, it's beyond easy. Now, for the drums. This seems to be what they focused on the most for the game, and I'd say they did a pretty good job with them. However, you also have to pay two hundred dollars if you want to buy them, and the drums seem to be the only way to enjoy this game. Naturally, you'll also have to buy a new guitar and the vocals as well, because the drums aren't sold separately.

The songs themselves are alright. I haven't heard most of them before, which somewhat disappointed me. However, for those who aren't into metal all that much, I guess this game would be more appealing than the others.

But overall, not a great game. They've lessened Guitar Hero's fun value when they took emphasis away from the guitar and made it... Boring. If you get the game, I'd suggest getting the whole band set so you can play with friends, as playing alone isn't that fun anymore. 6/10 for the big letdown.
