So... You go manager mode and usually at the beginning of manager mode it's transfer season. You go to team managment and go to transfers. Then to the transfer market. Hit search and do overall minimum 90. Then do the status "any" instead of available for transfer. Then offer forthem. If you have a poor budget, don't go for anyone expensive like Cristiano Ronaldo. I did that and I had a 2 million budget with Barcelona. Then I got a negative budget. Then I lost the finals in the Spanish Cup to Real Madridand got fired!

I did this thing and got Cristiano Ronaldo and stayed a positive budget though. Buffon is the cheapest. Messi is the most expencive. This really works for any game with manager mode.
