When diving with a partner, you will get special bonuses. The bonuses are:

Oceana/Oceane: More zoom mode spots will appear.

Hayako: Open the map to be able to track the locations of individual fish, and also be able to view animal scenes.

GG: Be able to carry 5 more items in Salvage Bag, and find out what items are left in the area to be salvaged.

Dolphin Partners also have bonuses. Blow the whistle twice and they will find items for you.

Common Dolphin: Finds spheres and stones.

Spectacled Porpoise: Finds valuable items.

Bottlenose: Finds coins and metal items.

Narwhal: Finds dolls and sculptures.

Beluga: Finds rings and paintings.

False Killer Whale: Finds rare items such as the ones for Treasure Rumors.

Pacific White-Sided Dolphin: Finds Zoom-Mode spots.

Risso's Dolphin: Finds bottles and jars.

Amazon River Dolphin: Finds ingots and containers.

Orca: Finds boxes and crates.

Commerson's Dolphin: Finds Treasure Chests and Books.
