No More Heroes Cheats and Tips

There is a hidden combo available in No More Heroes. To use it, follow the instructions below:

During a charge of your beam katana for the special attack, let go of the A button, before repeatedly pressing it. This will send out an otherwise unknown attack.

To get extra health and power before boss fights, keep an eye out for boxes in the vicinity of the boss - you should normally be able to find one with health and another with power.

Having filled up once, you can go to a save room or leave the area and when you come back to the boxes, they will be refilled, allowing you to stock up fully.

There is an alternate, 'true ending'. In order to view this, you need to find and collect all the game's Beam Katanas.

To access this feature beat the game on any difficulty setting and when prompted save it. Then start a new game with that file and 'New Game+' will be an available option. In 'New Game+' you will retain ALL the money and clothes that you had in the previous playthrough and ALL missions and jobs will be available along with several new shirts at Area 51.

When you beat the game this shirt will become unlocked.

To view the true ending to the game you must complete the game with ALL the Beam katanas. If you get the end of the game and don't have them all select to return to Santa Destroy and get them. When you have them ALL go to a bathroom to view the 'Real Ending'.

Beat the Rank 04 battle to unlock the minigame 'Pure White Giant Glastonbury'. At the motel select your TV to be able to play it.

This mode becomes an available option when you have completed the game on the 'Sweet' or 'Mild' setting and saved the file when the Credits have finished. When you select the 'Bitter' difficulty setting you will retain any equipment you had.
