Mega Man X5 PlayStation Cheats and Tips

Unlock X's Super Nova Armor from Megaman X4:

Highlight X at the 'Character Selection' screen and then press Up(2), Down(9). If the code has been entered correctly you will hear a sound as confirmation. Then press Circle.

Unlock Megaman's Ultimate Armor:

Highlight Megaman at the 'Character Selection' screen and then press Up(2), Down(9). If the code has been entered correctly you will hear a sound as confirmation and you will start the game with the Ultimate Armor and have it throughout the rest of the game.

Boss weaknesses

The following is a list of each of the bosses and their weakness.

The Skiver - Dark Hold

Rock Monster - Tri-Thunder

Robo Mask - X-Buster/Z-Saber

Zero or X - F-Lazer/C-Flasher

Play as X with Ultimate Armor

At the character selection screen, highlight X. Then press up(2) and

down(9). A sound would be heard if the correct code was done. Then, press circle.

X will now be in his Ultimate Armor in the beginning of the game, and

will be able to do infinite Nova Strikes. Which can be done by pressing

R2.

Play as Dark Zero

At the character selection screen, highlight Zero. Then press down(2) and up(9) times. A sound would be heard if the correct code was done. Then, press circle.

Zero will now be in Black Armor instead of red in the beginning of the game. He's attack and defence has increased.

To get these powerups, do the following things.

Shock absorber

Boss= Grizzly slash

DNA= weopons+life

Hyper dash

Boss= Grizzly slash

DNA= weapons+life

Speed shot

Boss= Axle the red or Grizzly slash

DNA= weapons+energy

Buster plus

Boss= The Skiver

DNA= weapons+life

Speed charge

Boss= Dark dizzy

DNA= weapons+energy or life

Character= Zero

Note= You must use zero and defeat the first 4 mavericks before doing this.

To kill Sigma in the last level, use Tri-thunder for X and E-blade for Zero.

When he transform to his giant form, use X's ultimate armor and hit him with Nova Strike (the giga attack for ultimate armor).

As for Zero, when you fight the giant Sigma with him, keep double jumping and hit the red circle on Sigma's forhead with C-sword.

Remember, you can only hurt The giant Sigma if you hit the red circle on his forehead.

If you have came far on this game here's another way how you can get Ultimate Armor and Enhanced Zero.

First when you have completed the first two vires levels on the third vires level the only thing you have to do is get a continue point and get over all the spikes and directly when you see a large hole slide down the right side of it.

Keep holding the right button down untile you get in a secret wall and find docter light(the one which gives you the parts for X)he will give X the Ultimate Armor or Zero the Enhanced Zero.

If you have the gaea armor use it on the sigma level just hang on the wall all the time and keep shooting charged shots, Hold the fire button for 2 seconds and it'll shoot a charged shot so the it's realy fast to beat.

Well its a fun thing to do :

when u first beats sigma virus (when he goes in space and will hit the planet) use the canon (dosnt matter how strong)it will hit and do I think 62% (or somthing like that).

Damage to it then send the space ship to hit (zeros inside) it will not go in but hit it and distroys sigma virus and also destroys all of earths population and only x and the gang live.

They think zero dies and he comes and 1 of x's friends says i got a strange reading like zero but its not and x says it has to be he goes and zero is all hyped and powered up and is glowing an zero says "Ill Distroy You" and show the part when he opens his eye (from bigining) and u start 3rd last level.....

Are you having trouble beating the bosses, I have a tip. Use thes weapons to beat the bosses.

1. Grizzly slash= Spike ball.

2. Squid Adler= Goo shaver.

3. Izzy glow= Lightning shock.

4. Duff mcwhalen= Shred cutter.

5. The Skiver= Freeze.

6. Axle the Red= Ground fire.

7. Dark dizzy= Homing Firefly.

8. Mattrex= Tornado waves.

For X,push up 2 times and down 9 times while it is blinking on X.Then it will make a sound to confirm that you typed the right code.Then choose X.You will start with X's Ultimate armor with infinate giga attack and plasma shot.

For Zero,push down 2 times and up 9 times while it blinks on Zero.It will make a sound to confirm that it's right.Choose Zero.He will have his black armor.

You can also get the armor for the 3rd Sigma stage.Around the end of the stage there will be a hole.Slide down the right wall.If the screen doesn't move down when you're almost at the bottom,jump back up.

While your sliding you will eventually push through the wall and you keep walking right.You will find a capsule for the ultimate armor.Enter it with unarmored X or regular Zero..

From Original Megaman games

In the first Sigma/maverick/fortress stage the boss is the Black Devil. Similar to a boss from the original megaman series...

During the black devil fight the original music is played from Megaman 1

When you fight X/Zero in fortress stage 3 Dr.Wily's logo is seen in the background.

From X1

The 2nd sigma/maverick stage has platforms you have to jump on. Similar to that of the stage where Zero died in X1

From X2

Tidal McWhalens music is the same from Bubble Crabs music. O_o

Black Zero....

Zero's (not maverick zero so no maverick for you) fight pattern in the 3rd Fortress stage is VERY simaler to the one in X2.

Magma Dragoons makes a cameo i..

In total there are 3 endings that have somthing to do with either X or Zero's past.

X's 1st ending (Eurasia didn't crash)

Dr. Light makes a pretty much HUGE cameo.

X's 2nd ending (Eurasia DID crash)

Same thing as ending one

Zero's ending (only one. Eurasia didnt crash)

Zero, appearantly dying, has his memory chip reactivate (talk about Life flashing before your very eyes...) Pretty much all there is is Dr. Wily(who is zero's creator) and Iris from X4.
