[People’s Data Manipulation] The skills under this skill tree is used for tampering with people’s data and phones, giving you access to more distraction options.

Create Distraction (A/G)

• Botnet Resource Cost: 2

Allows you to hack civilian phones or blast painful feedback to enemy headsets, creating a distraction. Distractions are very effective against enemies since the effect lasts for about 5 seconds, giving you enough time to slip past them or perform a melee takedown. This also cancels 911 calls or reinforcement calls.

To distract, press L1 or press and hold L1 then press the triangle button.

Improved Profiler (T)

Automatically flag profiles of nearby people with large bank accounts. Flagged civilians will have a blue cursor marked on them, allowing you to spot them from a good distance.

Massive Communication Distraction (A/G)

This will allow you to trigger a widespread distraction that will allow you to get past multiple enemies or take free potshots at them in a gunfight. No botnet resources is consumed but you have to wait for the skill to completely cool down before you can use it again. You also need to select it from the weapon wheel by holding the UP d-pad, select the skill, exit the weapon wheel then press R1 to use the skill.

Botnet Savings: Personal Devices (T/A/G)

Reduces the botnet resource cost when using any hack on individuals.

Gang Attack (T)

• Botnet Resource Cost: 8

Tamper the targeted individual’s profile to be the target of a random gang in San Francisco. If used on a civilian, he/she will be executed helplessly. However, if you use this on a law enforcement personnel or a rival gang member, a gunfight will ensue.

You can force hostiles to leave their positions or use other factions to reduce each other’s numbers, making your job easier and giving you the much needed opening to move into favorable positions or sneak past them to get to your objective.

Gang Skirmish (T)

• Botnet Resource Cost: 8

This replaces the Gang Attack ability. This skill also calls in a random gang hit squad to your target but the gang members will be wearing better weapons and armor, increasing their toughness and survivability.

Gang War (T)

• Botnet Resource Cost: 8
• Key Data: Elmhurst

This replaces the Gang Skirmish ability. his skill also calls in a random gang hit squad to your target but the gang members will be equipped with the best gear and weapon they have at their disposal.

APB: Suspect Located (T)

• Botnet Resource Cost: 8

APB stands for “all-points bulletin” which basically instructs police personnel in an area to apprehend a suspect. While this is quite useful for calling in cops to gang-controlled restricted areas to distract them, they can be used to prank civilians too. To use this ability, press and hold L1 then press the square button.

APB: Wanted Criminal (T)

• Botnet Resource Cost: 8

This replaces the APB: Suspect Located skill and will send in a couple of heavily armed SWAT members in an armored vehicle instead of the regular police officers in a patrol car. Deadly and effective, these guys can take on several gang members before getting overwhelmed.
