You can hit the light-bulb icon which is located at the bottom-right of the screen to get a solution once every hour. Although you will be shown the solution you will still have to flick the ball correctly. If you want to use the Hint system more than once per hour you will have to purchase the option through the in-app store for $0.99.

Each pair has an orange and blue slipper and if the ball enters one it will emerge from the other. Be careful though as slippers may be connected and it can get confusing when there are multiple pairs on the screen.

The bar on signal gates is raised by tapping on it, make sure that it is not connected to other signal gates otherwise your action may effect them in which case you need to be ready to tap again on the next gate obstucting the passage of the ball.

The star rating you recieve is determined by how quickly you solved a level and the amount of attempts you needed. If you get a low rating it is worth immediately doing the level again while your memory is fresh.

There are two ways that new stages can be accessed, you can either spend real money and use the in-app purchase to unlock them immediately or alternately you earn stars. If you do not want to spend real money you can always go back and earn more stars on earlier, easier levels.

Tap on trains you can't get around to stop them moving in their tracks, doing this will allow you to sneak around it. To start the train moving again simply tap it again.

Use the fans to change the direction your ball of yarn travels in. Fans can be switched on and off as the ball travels and there will be times in the later rounds that nimble finger work will be required to operate the fans.
