Location: The area that contains the skull is just after the airlift portion. Through the doorway at the entrance of this area is a large, stone block. Jump up onto this block and then to the shadow-shrouded ledge across from it. Head through the doorway up here, and jump onto the stone block outside. Jump over to the ledge across from it and drop down to the ledge below. Drop down to the ledge further down and make your way to the other side of the straightaway here. Then, jump over to the slanted side of the upper-ledge.
To scale this next wall, you’ll have to crouch-jump while standing directly below it. To perform a crouch-jump, jump normally and click the Left Thumbstick to crouch just as Master Chief reaches the apex of the jump to push up a bit higher. The skull is below, surrounded by two harmless, cloaked elites.
With this skull active, purportedly, during a co-op game, if one player dies, both are immediately sent back to the last checkpoint. This effect remains active until you turn off your Xbox and reload the game. To re-activate this effect afterwards, you’ll have to collect the skull again.
