Video Game Guardians combines Idle gaming mechanics with RPG and features a large cast of wacky characters. You play the role of a secret agent whose mission is to guard video games by overseeing them. This means you have to ensure players can proceed to whatever game over or happy ending they seek. To do this you will need to recruit the best guardians in your party to defeat the monsters and bosses that you will encounter in battles. This will involve powering-up guardians, obtaining 5-star guardians and defeating the enemies in Dungeon mode, Pyramid mode, Pvp mode, and Boss Raids.

You begin the game in Adventure mode and and once you reach Level 2 Dungeon mode will become unlocked. At Level 3 Pyramid mode becomes unlocked and upon reching Level 7 Boss Raids will become available. Regardless of what mode you are playing your guardians will attack automatically, your job is to constantly increase their power by power-up, transcend, and promote.

Headquarters

This is a gold mine where hired miners mine gold every 5 seconds. Increasing gold prodctivity by leveling up and hiring the miners will lead to higher gold acquirement. Also, by opening a vault, a great amount of gold can be obtained at once.

Research Lab

The research lab is where you upgrade the Guardians. It is also related to combat, when you clear stages you can obtain flasks from monsters. Flasks are used for research (you can continue the research on progress, or start a new one).

Guardians

This is where you manage the Guardians. Each of the Guardians have special abilities that can be advanced by leveling and through power ups. Also, it is here where you build team chemistry to create synergy.

Human Resource Department

This is the department where the Guardians (who will have a variety of talents) are interviewed. Two applicants will appear and you can try recruiting if you are interested. No one knows whether the applicant will be accepting or rejecting the proposal. It is entirely up to the applicants. If the applicant rejects your offer you can try recruiting them through Special Recruitment. You should only attempt to hire Guardians this way if they are absolutely necessary.

Level 3

Pyramid mode becomes unlocked at Level 3 and if you complete the first 15 stages you will be rewarded with 4-star and 5-star recruitment tickets which will be sent to your mail box. Although Pyramid mode is the key to obtaining powerful guardians it does get more difficult after each stage.

4-Star Heroes

You will discover that 3-star heroes become obsolete very quickly so do not waste resources on powering them up. It takes time to Awaken a hero as you need to recruit it twice which makes the whole process not worth it. Even if you Power them up and Awaken them they will still not be as good as a Powered up 4 star heroes and above.

Increase Guardians Power

There are several ways that this can be accomplished and they as follows:

• Equip weapons, armours, and accessories

• Awaken the Guardian

• Power-up the Guardian using dragon stones

• Promote the Guardian using dragon stones

• Reach the milestone levels

• Transcend (after every 100 levels)

Level Up Mines

To maximise the amount of gold you collect from the vault you should invest all the money you have in upgrading your best mines before collecting from the vaults.

Unlock Miners

As you progress through the game you will discover that the cost of upgrading Guardians will steadily increase. To compensate for this you need to make sure you unlock new miners to increase the production of gold per 5 seconds. It is more beneficial to unlock new miners than it is to upgrade them.

Rebirth Often

The key for a successful game rebirthing often so you get the required resources for Powering up your Guardians. You gain a new hero level by rebirthing 100 stages after the previous milestone. If you rebirth twice a day (once in the morning and then again in the evening) your Guardians if they are of a higher enough level should reach the required stage for a level up during the course of the night. You can see the maximum your heroes will reach in Idle mode by tapping your hero's avatar followed by the 'I' button in the top corner.

Earn Honor Ponts

If you play in PvP mode and Pyramid mode you will be able to earn honor points which you can use to buy 4-star, 5-star recruitment tickets at the equipment store.

Increase Party Slots

To be able to add more Guardians to your party so you can defeat powerful bosses, monsters, and opponents in battles easier you need to go to the HQ tab, select 'Lab' then 'Squad'. Then just research and level it up.

Join an Alliance

Make sure you join an active alliance (Dept) as doing so will enable you to have faster Lab researches if you alliance members keep launching new projects and you join them. An active alliance will also tend for the Alliance's monster making sure its requirements are always maximised which ensures better and faster resources from it.
