Go into a forest near Junon on the world map and get into random encounters. Eventually you will battle a Mystery Ninja. This is Yuffie. Defeat her and you will be taken to a scene with her and a Save Point. Do not use the Save Point. Instead, talk to her She will challenge you to a rematch, respond "Not interested." She will then ask if you are scared of her, respond "Petrified." She will say that she is going to leave, respond "Wait a second." She will ask if you want her help, respond "That's right." She will accept, respond "Let's hurry on." You will then get a name screen for her, and then she is your party.

The star (or N in some variations) means to release the button or direction you are pressing/holding before pressing the next button in the sequence. I find the moves that require this type of control combination difficult to execute.

When the clown/genie goes inside the bottle, hit it with your sword to immobilize him, then use the Power Bracelet to pick up the bottle and throw it against the wall. The genie will come out and throw a few fireballs--stay near the bottom of the room and move left and right to avoid them. When he retreats back into the bottle, do the same thing again. Do this a total of three times and the bottle will be shattered. The genie will then fly around the room and then stop the throw a fireball or rwo--rhis is when he is vulnerable so hit him with the Spin Attack and you will defeat him in no time.

You get them both in the World of Ruin. One is a yeti named Umaro. Go to the Narshe mines with Mog in your party and reach the top cliffs, then jump down at the edge. You'll eventually find a room with two skull torches--look at the one on the right and you'll find some magicite, and Umaro will attack. Defeat him and if Mog is in your party, Umaro will join you.

The second is Gogo. Make your way to Triangle Island (the island that is triangle shaped) and walk around in the forested area until you fight a creature called Zone Eater. Let him inhale all your party members, then you'll be inside a dungeon inside the monster. Make your way to the end of this dungeon and you'll meet Gogo.

You will often run across at least one pedestal that is already lit. In these cases, switch to Lang and use Galea to darken the pedestal. Make sure you follow the direction in the order, and I find it is best to "tag" (touch) each pedestal when counting your way around them.
