The Sims is Electronic Art's baby and every few years they create an entirely new Sims series. The latest so far is the Sims 3 and of course what could one expect but a ton of expansion packs and stuff packs to trail along with it?
"Supernatural" is the most recent installment of the Sims 3 and is apparently the best expansion pack to be released(but everyone knows that EA claims this with every new expansion) however, is it really the best in the player's eyes?
When it comes down to graphics it verys depending on how recent the updates are on your computer; hence if you have a slow computer, more than likely you'll have poor quality graphics.
In this case I had mine on high and the graphics were pretty decent compared to many of EA's other games. Still, there are some things if you're very observant that you'll spot. One situation is of the horses looking into a mirror you'll notice that you can see the inside of them (When the camera is facing the mirror as well). So there are some minor glitches in the game.
The sound is pretty clear(even though they don't speak English anyway)but it is in no way surround sound.
An upside to the sound is that the stereo has some familiar tracks but was translated into "Simish" for the game.
The downside is that you cannot understand the sims with the exception of the thought bubbles.
The sim's voices(in my opinion anyway) are still very high pitched.
The rating of gameplay really depends on the person. As for myself, with the new "Supernatural" expansion or "SN" for short there is more for the sims to do. Now they can turn into werewolves, vampires and other Supes.
The only major changes were to the sims themselves and some new lots as well as a new town. Otherwise, there's no real difference to the game.
There's no real end to "Supernatural"(This goes for the other expansions as well as the basegame itself). The player can play as long as he/she wants to;changing jobs, moving, causing havoc, etc.
Unless of course you allow the sim to age, going through life's stages, but with "Supernatural" why would you go and do a thing like that?
I believe this installment deserves a decent rating with all the changes and enhancement to the basegame. You can now actually "create" and personalize your character to make him/her a little more distinguished from everyone else.
It makes you want to go crazy with the new features and clothes, bringing the freak side that lies deep in ourselves. Oh yeah and let's not forget about Spoiler:
