Introduction

This is what a Tekken game should be! This is Tekken at it's peak...so far. I don't know how long Bandai-Namco was working on this, but this used their time wisely. The amount of characters, the graphics, the things you can do; this game is a fusion of Tekken Tag 1, Tekken 6, and creative thinking!

Graphics

The graphics on this game are downright impressive. The backgrounds are colorful and very detailed. What I like most about the stages is the Heaven-Hell stage. In the Arcade mode (which probably counts as the Story Mode for this game) the final person to fight is Jun. Beat her one round and she transforms into Unknown. The transition between the Heaven stage and the "Hell" stage is awesome. There's not much to say about the characters, other than they look the most detailed.

Sound

The music is not something to be ignored. The background music fits the stages perfectly. The Heaven stage where Jun turns into Unknown has fitting background music. The transformation shows how ugly things are turning into because of the music you hear. The only real problem I have with the sound are the character voices. Whatever happened to Marshall Law's voice or Bryan Fury's voice? Also, some of the characters have different languages in their voices. Lili literally speaks French, Eddy, Miguel, and Christie speak Spanish, and some of the Japanese dialogue can get a little annoying after a while. Other than that, nothing's wrong with the sound.

Gameplay

The moves are executed perfectly. Every character has different move-sets (with some exceptions) and they all are used well. Marshall-Forrest Law, Lee Chaolan-Violet, and Jun Kazama-Unknown are the only pairs of people that play similarly. What you can do is impressive as there are many things you can do offline AND online.

Lastability

This game will never get old. There's a PS3 trophy where you have to unlock 40 different people's ending movies. This might help kill some time. The only reason this doesn't get a 10 is because this is meant to be a multiplayer experience. This means you'll have more fun if you have friends or family to play against.

Overall

This game to me gets a 9.5 out of 10. There were a few minor flaws and some things I consider not right, but that's just me. The number of people you can use is enormous, and with the Online Pass you can make it even bigger. There's plenty to do, the graphics are perfect, and it will never get old. This is a must-have for game players. If you like Tekken--new or old--you MUST have this game. Because of this, I now have the entire Tekken collection! This game is awesome--end of story!!

Final Score: 92%
