Introduction

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith for the Nintendo DS is a game about the movie. It follows the movie's main plot, ultimately ending with the duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin. You can choose which one you want to play as, as the two have different missions to accomplish. Obi-Wan deals with General Grievous and the betrayal of the clones while Anakin turns to the Dark Side and fights off the Jedi. Either way, the game ends the same way.

Graphics

The graphics of this game are the same as the GBA version of it, so there isn't a lot of cool 3-D rendering or anything like that. The multi-player space battles are pretty cool, but other than that, there is little to praise GFX wise. Everything is in 2-D so nothing looks too real.

Sound

The sounds in this game mainly consist of the background music in the movie and the sound effects that take place as well. There is a difference between the GBA and DS version however, unlike GFXs. The music sounds exactly like the movie's music; the GBA's is slightly less quality.

Gameplay

The game's controls are fairly simplistic. The whole game is a side-scroller, apart from multi-player and the space side missions. All you do is hack away with your lightsaber, dodging and blocking laser blasts along the way. Of course, you can use the Force too. Depending on your character, you will either have offensive Force or defensive Force. There are also special moves that can be used via touchscreen or button combinations. The game is based in stages, with a boss duel every now and then.

Lastability

This game is one of the shortest games I have ever played. Any person could pick this up and beat it within a couple hours, maybe two or three max. Missions are much too short and there aren't enough of them. Also, all you really have to do is run and then just mash up enemies with your lightsaber. Duels are also really easy too. The multi-player doesn't add much because it is not Wi-Fi so it's practically useless. In other words, the game is not worth it.

Overall

The game itself isn't too bad, but the limited length ultimately hurt it's score. The game was nice, but a person could buy it, play it, beat it, and then return it all in one day. That's how bad it is. After beating it, there's nothing to do. Missions are redundant so playing through again is pointless. In other words, the game is junk.

Final Score: 66%
