Pac Pix was one of the games that really, and I mean really disappointed me, when it came out. You have about 10 stages or so, and that's it. The only time I actually played it was when I went to Chicago and forgot every other game. There has never been another game that I have seen that was as bad as Pac Pix. I hope I never have to lay eyes on that game again.
The graphics on Pac Pix were okay for it's time of debut. But, compared to the original Pac Man game, obviously Pac Pix wins. Well, during gameplay, it's actually up to you to create most of the graphics. This is because you get to draw Pac Man and the weapons and other things. So, if you don't like drawing people that look like a pizza after a family of mice have gotten through with it, this is not your game. But, on the contrary, you can make Pac Man look hilarious. For example, you can make Pac Man take on different forms; square, triangle, or some other shape that you desire Pac Man to take on.
I don't even want to talk about the sound due to the sad fact that there is barely any good sound. Or any sound in general, for that matter. The only sound I enjoyed was that one easter egg where you can make Pac Man say "Wa wa wa" by hitting him with an arrow in Gallery mode, which I thought was pretty funny.
Well, all there is to the gamplay is the Gallery mode, where you can draw Pac Man and the weapons and all that good stuff. There is the story mode where you can beat bad guys by eating them up. And, after you finish that, there isn't much to do, except make Pac Man cry.
If you are any good at playing video games, this game should take you anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks to finish. Now if you are a starter and this is your first DS game, finishing this game, if you really want to, should be anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.
This game isn't worth being in the top 50, or top 150, for that matter. It's an okay game, is what I"m trying to say. It has good graphics, but could use some improvement. There is barely any sound, which I pesonally didn't like at all. The gameplay has a story mode, which doesnt last long, and it has a Gallery mode, in which you can amuse yourself by drawing Pac Man so he's deformed, or making him cry by shooting an arrow at him. The game did not meet my standards of a good game, and I hope that later in the Pac Man series that this game gets better somehow.
