This is my second review and my second madden game. The game for DS is way better than for GBA. This game has tons of teams to unlock, loads of cards to unlock. Although the downer is it has more graphical glitches than Game Boy Color games. Overall I think this one of the better games out there.
Most of the times the graphics are pretty good. But when someone is covering you it looks like the guys are meshing together into one player. Another thing is when you make a catch and the you're going back to your huddle and you got tackled it looks like they're meshing together. Samething after a TD.
The sound is very good. You can change sound settings and you can hear the knocking of players and tipped passes. The crowd isn't to important, just aww and yeah. You can enhance sound by getting cheer cards under madden cards. John Madden and Al aren't as annoying as last year though.
The game has great gameplay in my opinion. You can set the diffuculty level to rookie, pro, all pro, or all madden. You have a lot of formations and different playbooks to enhance. It's also not like some sports games where you can win by like 100 points either. I've always found fun to play the old teams against the new too.
This game has decent lastability. Once you start playing on all madden it seems to get much more fun and you think while playing too, unless you're one of those super players. I would reccomend franchise since you can play a different schedule each year and offseason moves too. To make it more realistic you can even edit players as they improve or tail down each year two.
This is probably one of the best sports game franchises ever and didn't fail this game either. I would've given it a nine if the announcing wasn't so repetive and the graphics had less glitches. A thing that boosts this game rating is because of all the different teams, plays, options, and the new paper football game which is hard. Best sports game for DS yet!
