The game has it's flaws and it's appreciatives. I really like this game and I am looking forward to Genji 2 on the PS3. The game gives sense of real in depth gameplay where you can do almost anything if you know the controls right. With 2 playable characters, this game gives a sense of speed kills, and whacking the enemies with a pole until theyre dead.
The graphics in the game are amazing. There are so many different ways to kill enemies. You can cut from the neck to their ribs, you can take their heads clean off, and can even jump off their heads! But there are the moments when youre attacking and the screen stops for a brief second but thats just how the game is. I hope you enjoy the grahpics as much as I do.
The fact that they speak japanese is very disturbing. You can not understand anything they say and are forced to read the subtitles. And no there is no way to change their language. I wish there was. But their voices are very powerful in combat and the music is great.
The gameplay is very good. There is a number of combos you can do including the Kamui attack. It slows time and with the right timing, you can kill every enemy in the game with it. The way you move is great to. One guy can jump really high and moves fast, but lacks a bit in attack power. While the other can barely jump, and runs very slowly, but his attack and defense more than make up for it.
The first time I played this game, it took me 13 hours to beat it. Overall, not to long. The second time, 7 hours. The 3rd time, it only took me an hour and 20 minutes to beat the game. This game isnt very long at all, but while your playing it's very good. Plus you can upgrade your attack and defense and health so your chances of surviving get better. But still, the game doesnt last long enough to get really deep into it.
Overall I rate this game as 8. Because it's so short, but also because of the japanese language used so much in the game. No one says a single english word ONCE. If your planning on getting this game, and don't know how to read ( you shoudl be able to considered the game is 17+) you better brush up on your japanese. Thanks for reading.
