Introduction

Battlefield 3 is the latest installment of the classic First Person Shooter series Battlefield. It follows a squad of marines on their voyage through the middle east. During their time, the squad fights against an opposing force known only as the PLR. Battlefield is an intense action packed game that is sure to surprise even the calmest of gamers.

Graphics

Every detail in the graphics department was definitely thought out. The shadows, the bullet holes through the wall, even the details on the gun, right down to the dust cover are completely immaculate. The graphics of this game feel real, and soon enough you'll be in the Middle East fighting alongside your fictional squad.

Sound

The sound in Battlefield was a defining feature that was thought out extremely well. Using the new Frostbite Engine, sounds can now overlap each other in order as they would in real life. A grenade exploding next to you sounds louder than the tank that's near, but doesn't drown the sound completely out, which makes every sound distinct in it's own way.

Gameplay

The gameplay was one of the coolest things in the game. The mapping of the controller made it easy to access all of your most important buttons, the HUD was very friendly and easy to see and read. Many aspects of movement in the game were capable of being changed and modified to a players certain settings, right down to inside of a vehicle.

Lastability

This game keeps you busy for days. Not only is the campaign extraordinary, but the multiplayer can keep anyone on their toes and on their TV. With challenges and trophies for multiplayer, Battlefield keeps you coming back with more and more ambition to kill the enemy. Constant updates keep a crisp online game experience everyone loves to play.

Overall

Overall, this game is a definite example of how First Person Shooters should be made. With it's extremely gritty campaign, crisp multiplayer, and features a madman would go sane for, all games should be based off the way Battlefield is created. Constant updating, trophies and challenges that seem almost in your grasp, but too far away to reach, one hour of this game and you'll be addicted like everyone else guaranteed.

Final Score: 98%
