Introduction

Whats the poit in introductions?
You knwo this is a review for unreal yournament 3 on the xbox 360, otherwise you wouldnt be reading it.

Also, I will be telling you my opinions during the review, so I can't eexactly write much here.

So.... Enjoy?

Graphics

Graphics are exellent, but this is to be expected of any game for modern day consoles.
The water animation is great. It's a shame you don't really need it, since you can't use the water for anything, and you ony eversee small puddles or distant ocean anyway.

Sound

I hate this section.
You can't really say wether any of the weapons sound realistic, since they don't exist. Same with the vehicles. Nothing in this game that uses sound exists. Save the speech, but I don't know a game in which the speech doesnt fit the characters.

Gameplay

Repetetive and boring.
The style of this game is old. Not many people actually enjoy this sort of game anymore. During the campaign, you do either warfare, in whch you have to control 'nodes' in order to shoot and destroy the enemys power source, a big ball of energy. Capture the flag, name says it all, and team deathmatch. Again, name says it all. I am on the final chapter, after about 8 hours of play, and all I;ve done is the three games mentioned above. It's really boring. I actually thought it was quite funny, having a campaign in this game.

During the cutscenes, it's as if an actual war is going on, talking, fighting, the usual cutscene stuff. Yet when you are playing, you are playing in an arena agaainst respawnable enemys. Last time I checked, thats not war.

Lastability

In campaign mode, this game would never last. Once you;ve beaten it once, you want to stop playing. The game is incredibly boring, and not worth playing.
Online it will last until Gears of War 2 comes out, which is only a few months away. In fact, I doubt it wil even last that long. There is only 5 new maps, so those who bought, or have played the last unreal tournament game will know the secrets and hiding spots of every map, and will probably grow bored of the new ones, since most of the new ones are fairly small.

The weapons are worse than before aswell. The minigun has been replaced with a minugun that fires crystals. Theres no classic weapons, they are all updated.
Theres like, 0 new weapons, so you will bore of them quickly.

Overall

This was a waste of money.
Its a boring, repetative and unoriginal game.

Alot of the acheivements are impossible, or require too much gaming time.
For example, for one acheivmeent, yo have to get over 200 kills 50 times. It says toget 200 kills in 50 different days. Which, unless you don't have the emotion of boredom, wont happen.

So in short, don't buy this game. If you are after a futuristic war game, wait for Gears of War 2, or buy Quake 4. To this day, I still play quake 3, despite it being old. It's a great game.
