Introduction

Lara Croft is in trouble, for the fourth time.
I remember the first Tomb Raider, it was good. The second game was good too, and more complicated. I have never played the third Tomb Raider, to say the truth, but right now I can say something about the fourth game. And it's good and enjoyable like all the previous games.

Graphics

Good job, nothing bad to say about it, but sometimes the frame rate slow down a little. It's not programmers fault, I think the reason is the low power available to them from a Playstation One. After all it's only a 32 bit console, and with only 4 Mb of total Ram and a 33 Mhz processor!
They did literally miracles to archieve a graphic like this, but sometimes the graphic looks a little too crappy. Sometime searching for treasures, secrets, passages and other things is a bit more difficult, because of the graphics. It's not their fault, but sometimes it's a little too much frustrating.

Sound

The first thing I have to say, voices are very, very good. I have bought the Italian version of the game, and the voices are in a perfect Italian very well spoken and very well mastered.
An absolutely perfect work. Music is good and enjoyable, not very special, but not bad, they
Are doing their work in a good way. Sound effects are a good work too, so this time they did an almost perfect work. But I want to assign a perfect 10 points score because of the wonderful Italian language... It is a thing you can't find very often in games sold in Italy, believe me.

Gameplay

This time they did a good work, as usual, but it's like... As they tried to put too many functions for the PC version on a pad. Sometimes the functions layout it's a little confusing, and sometimes it requires you to spend some seconds trying to remember which button do the required action (for example crawling). And surely, if you played a Tomb Raider game, you know that there are times where you really have a very little time to think what to do, before Lara Croft dies. But this problem is almost solved with a lot of time of intense game training.

Lastability

Again, we find an interesting story, and the game is very, very long, even for a Tomb Rider (we are talking about 38 levels of gameplay!)
Enemies are though, puzzles are quite hard to solve, and secrets are very well hidden.
I promise it will require you a lot of time to complete the game. Even more, if you want to find all the secret the game will offer you.

Overall

An extremely good game, and a good sequel of the Tomb Raider serie. Its a little difficult at the beginning, because you need to make a lot of pratice with the new and complicated controls, but after this difficult start, you will love the depth of the story and the game length.
If you are not a fan of this type of games, I dont think you will like it, but all the others must give a look to this game.

Final Score: 88%
