Super Bowl Weekend 2014
28 January - thru - 2 February 2014
For gamers living outside of North America, the UK, and Australasia, where the American sport of Football is widely known and followed (outside of North America because it is rather strange and inside because - well - just because) an explanation may be helpful. So here goes...
Right, so there is this thing called the Super Bowl. It is not a bowl, it is a sporting match. It is not football in the traditional sense -- they call football "Soccer" here -- and it bloody well is not Aussie Rules. Think of it as a bunch of very large men wearing lots of armor and padding playing a game that is like Aussie Rules but safer and you will then know what American Football is.
Now as to this Super Bowl thing, well, that is the finals basically, where the two best teams have a go to see which one gets this massive golden cup for the next year, as well as bragging rights, and also gets to decide which punters get their legs broke for betting on the wrong team, and which get a lovely wad of Cash. Just saying.
In the world of TSTO however, the Super Bowl is a great excuse to have a few fun Missions and Quests, and of course to add some most excellent Decorations to your town!

As is usual with Special Events, there are some new (or returning) Decorations to be had, and in this case they are party-riffic! Well, it is the Super Bowl after all....
There is also a special Mission-based reward Decoration (the Duff Blimp) that you can only get by logging into your game on Super Bowl Sunday (next Sunday) and completing its Mission!

The following Missions and Quest are part of this Special Event:
Homer calls is daughter Lisa over and completely freaks her out when he asks her to pray with him - as she naturally assumes that means he is dying! But it turns out he just wants an innocent to offer her prayers so that his team might win the Stupor Bowl...

Note that the Decorations for this Special Event -- the Duff Racer, Duff Party Bus, and Duff Blimp -- are not really new, the fact that they are available as part of the Super Bowl Event means that Tappers who did not have the opportunity to previously obtain them now can! Yay!
FYI the History of the Decorations are as follows:
Despite the rapid removal of the even triggers following Super Bowl Sunday, Tappers report that if they already began the Quest Line they were able to complete it -- and receive the Prizes -- regardless. If you did NOT begin the quest lines these Items will not be available to you.
