Part 16: The Level 46 thru 50 Arc

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Last Updated:

Welcome to Part 16 of our Continuing Guide to The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

This section covers Levels 46 thru 50, and specifically The Story missions and quests that make up the primary Game Play.

For Special and Holiday Events coverage you should use the Special and Holiday Events Section of the Guide, which has each listed in its own Sub-Section under that drop down menu on the Main Menu Block to the right-hand side of the guide.

As always we hope that you will find this Guide to be a very useful and helpful Resource.

If you are looking for Neighbors to add to your game, please check the Sub-Section titled Community Friend Requests in the first (top) part of the Main Menu - making your requests there will obtain better results than randomly making requests in the different sections of the Guide.

Level 46 Update

If you were surprised that the Level 46 Update and Level Cap Expansion turned out to be centered around Nelson's Mom, well, you are not alone. Did not see that coming...

Still it is worth noting that having that side of the character roll expanded is not a bad thing.

One Small Bounce for Man

The world from the point-of-view of a kid can be rather simple - and while it is pretty clear that thanks to the Internet the whole issue of sex and relationships is very different today than it was 20 years ago from a kid perspective aside, it is pretty clear that if the children of Springfield have not figured out just what the point of the the Classy Girls Strip Club is, they have a pretty good idea...

That said, Bart and his mates have an agenda of their own, and while it involves bouncing, clearly it is a rather uniquely different sort... So let's get bouncing!

With any luck it was placed in a park near the schools, making it both a safe and fully accessible recreational option!

Make Willy Hurt Other Kids in the Mooonbounce

Note: The timing for this new mission line is a bit unfortunate as it comes towards the end of the official and special Halloween Event - so you may have to be careful just how enthusiastically you apply the kids to this and its sub-quests. Adding Greta Wolfcastle

There has been some concern mentioned that we did not adequately address the issues surrounding how Greta Wolfcastle is added to your game. We mean to address those concerns here!

The character of Greta Wolfcastle - the only daughter/child of Wolfcastle - is a Premium Character who was added to the game with the Level 47 Cap increase.

She is added as a result of purchase and placement of the Premium Building called Preparatory School (180D) - Greta is added to the game upon the completion of its construction.

The Springfield Preparatory School is a private school in Springfield that is run by Sinjin Van Hookstrap, who is headmaster there. Van Hookstrap serves a role that is a combination of Principal Skinner and Chalmers.

The school featured in one of the episodes of the TV Show - The Simpsons attended the Annual School Fair there, and that is when it is established that Greta Wolfcastle is a student there.

To re-state this, when you add this Premium Building to your game, you will obtain Greta, and her quests.

This is a PREMIUM Mission - that is to say that in order to unlock it, you will have needed to purchase the Springfield Clamphitheater (Cost = 138 Doughnuts) which is a Premium Object in the game. Considering the price of this new Premium structure - and considering that we are just emerging from a major annual Holiday Event with plenty of objects with which to spend D - the chances that you arrived at this point by saving up your D are pretty much slim-to-none.

Which means that if you end up owning this particular Premium Structure, the odds are pretty much 100% that it was intentionally purchased with D that was - well - intentionally purchased. We are not judging - we are not saying that it was wrong or right. We're just noting this as a fact.

The Cost of Living Pt. 1

Our first task is very straight-forward - we need to construct the Quimby Compound - but before we do that we will need to determine where precisely that will be built in our Springfield. Here is the thing - with the game in its advanced mode finding a location at which to build it is no simple task.

The reason for the need to give some serious consideration here is that we don't know at this point whether the structure we are about to build is the ONLY one that we will need to place here... After all, if we take a look at the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port - just a moment, that is just down the road so I will go take a quick peek - if you don't like on this island off the coast of Massachusetts you will likely be best off using Google Maps in Street View - just saying.

Ah! Back! Well, clearly while it may have started out as one home it now encompasses what appears to be six homes - so yeah, we need to place the compound in an area that we can expand if need be...

1. Build the Quimby Compound ($1M) 24h Build Timer.

Hopefully you have the Money to do this - if not, we will wait but be advised we have limited patience. We are not going to wait forever, so get busy!

Placing this structure also adds the Freddy Quimby - the nephew of our Mayor Quimby and a rather Kennedy-like character who knows how to properly pronounce Chow-DAH!

Freddy is added to the Civil Servants Character Collection - which also includes Chief Wiggum, Mayor Quimby, Officer Eddie, Officer Louie, K9, and now Freddy. Makes you wonder what role Freddy will play in Mayor Quimby's administration?

This is a PREMIUM Mission Series - the mission can only be flagged if you have purchased and placed the new themed Strip Club Florence of Arabia - which was added with the Level 47 Level Cap Content.

Adding the Florence of Arabia Building also adds the new character to the game - Princess Kashmir - who is added to the More Oddballs Character Collection (That collection includes Dr. Nick, Nelson's Mom, the French Waiter, and of course Kashmir).

The addition of Florence of Arabia appears to be part of a theme that the wizards behind the creation of the game are going with - it being a theme-based strip club following a strip club theme when you take into account the addition of the Classy Girls Strip Club (which was the structure with which Nelson's Mom was added to the game). We say theme due to the established pattern - the Classy Girls was added during the previous Level increase.

He first appears in the episode The Boy Who Knew Too Much (May 1994) which coincidentally was an episode in which Freddy Quimby also appears. That is the only episode in which Lacoste appears, so we can only assume that his addition to the game is related to Freddy being added. Freddy appeared in three episodes: The Boy Who Knew Too Much, Trash of the Titans (April 1998), and See Homer Run (November 2005).

The use of a letter or a phone call from the authorities is a very common plot element that is used to open the traditional French mystery or detective story - so its use here is completely appropriate to the character, who is being asked to assist the authorities in their investigation of graffiti.

Interestingly graffiti is a more serious crime in France than in the USA, largely due to the use of that particular art form for spreading political messages as well as protesting civil authority, and the French take it far more seriously as a result than do other authorities.

Baking Bread

The mission that kicks off the special cap increase collection harkens to the crime problems that seems to be plaguing what used to be a peaceful little burg called Springfield... And it appears that the Mayor is who is being called to task to clean it up - which is odd since well, you know, he does not really have much of a rep for effectiveness in government. But there you have it!

Baking Bread Pt. 1

The first task for this mission set is to build its related Building - the D'Amico Summer Home - which costs a whopping $1,092,000 - as in just over a cool Million smackers!

Obviously if you have not managed to bank that kind of dough you will need to get working on it. The most effective method is to play as many times a day as you can to collect rents as well as keeping all of your citizens working at high-pay tasks...

Build the D'Amico Summer Home ($1,092,000)

Completing the build results in some commentary from Fat Tony - who welcomes Little Caesar - that is to say Fat Tony Jr! Well no, actually it is Michael D'Amico - an up-and-coming reluctant mobster who prefers to be a chef!

Completing the build results in unlocking the new character - Michael D'Amico, who gives 25 XP, and serves as the next addition to the Wise Guys Character Collection.

Completing this mission also awards you $100 and 10 XP.

Work at Luigi's

This gap quest is part of the current mission and is actually called "Just How You Like It" in the completion description, but is flagged as Work at Luigi's. This mission is for Luigi - and it appears was created mostly to slow you down in completing the current mission line as it puts Luigi to work just when you need him to work with Michael. Sigh.

Level 50 Cap Increase

First of all, wow! Congratulations mates, we have reached Level 50! Not only that, but with that Cap Increase we have also reached the end of this Section of the Guide - so two reasons to celebrate! And now we have to get busy creating the next Guide Section -- Part 17: Levels 51 thru 55!

As is usually the case with a Level Cap increase event, it comes during an active event - which is why we briefly confused the structures, Characters, and missions with that event. But once we realized that we got it sorted and all is right in the world :)

So what happens during a Level Cap Increase Event?

Well first, the Cap goes up 1-Level -- in this case to Level 50 Naturally! If you have been actively playing the game since the last Cap Up for Level 49 you have already banked sufficient XP to hit the new Cap as soon as you complete any XP granting action, so good on ya and your spiffy new Level 50 Springfield!

Level 50 CIE Objects

This Cap Increase Event (CIE) brings with it the following objects:

  • Book Burning Mobile ($200,000) Improves Vanity Rating

  • Canyonero (5,000 FP) Truck / SUV

  • IT Blows (3,000 FP) Building.

  • Lovejoy Residence (180D) Unlocks the character of Jessica Lovejoy.

  • Municipal House of Pancakes ($1M) Unlocks the character of Helen Lovejoy.

  • Murderpuss (30D) L50 / 1% Bonus Money and XP to all jobs

  • Shorty's (60D) Coffee Shop

You will want to obtain as many of these as you can and, if you are availing yourself of Donuts, you will want to be grabbing the Premium Objects as well. As with all Level Caps Increase Events there is a selection of both Standard and Premium Content, so nobody is left out in the cold!

In addition to the above listed objects there are also some missions associated with this event, which we now list below.

You don't have to be a fan of old film or classic fiction books to know that pride is one of the most dangerous of the human emotions. This Special Sales Event is on a timer - and depending on when you logged in you may have as little as 24h to take advantage of it... Basically if there are objects, Characters, Costumes, or Buildings you did not have the opportunity to obtain during the event this is your chance to get them - but bear in mind that these are largely PREMIUM purchases. Which means spending real-world Money. Just saying...

Daily Progress Reminder

Prior to delving deeply into the missions and quests structure the time has once again come when we need to touch base on a specific issue that may have easily fallen through the gap in play and scheduling.

Think of it as a common occurrence as the Game Play emphasis often creates a sort of tunnel-vision in which the more mundane (but equally as important) daily progress actions and activities slip your mind. After all that old saw "Out of Sight = Out of Mind" is very true and certainly applies here!

So, first thing first, in addition to the well-designed and even fascinating Missions and Quests scheme that was created by the Wizards of Tapped Out who are responsible for that sort of creative thinking, there are very day and day-to-day tasks that both should be completed and provide the sort of predictable stability around which players who pay attention to it thrive in games of this sort.

In short what we are talking about is the base game that floats below the seemingly obvious game itself - so with that in mind we want to remind you that you should be tending to the following on a daily basis and with regularity while at the same time completing The Story lines that are funneled into the event and story missions, quests, and one-off special or character-centric actions.

So be sure to maintain with equal attention the following actions daily:

  • Collecting Rent / Taxes -- Each Building in the game (including most of the Premium Structures) will generate a regular payment every so many hours (depending on building type and value) that should be regularly collected. While the Rent/Tax is not even in the ballpark n terms of the actual amount in Income that it generates - particularly when compared to the reward from character tasks - it all adds up!
  • Completing Gap Quests -- Every day when there is not an event running (and sometimes when there is) the game will insert a handful of gap-quests. These are mostly documented under the sections "Level Independent Quests" and "Recurring Undefined Quests" in the main Walkthrough Section of the guide. They are worth doing if only for the variety that they add to the game :)
  • Story Line Missions & Quests -- One of the most common questions that we see being asked of us is ones that pertain to why the Tapper is already Level XX and still has not received a Mission or a Quest that is supposed to be a Level well below their current one.

The most frequent reason for this occurring is when the player has not completed a required story line mission or quest string. This often happens due to the Tapper not having placed what appears to be an ordinary if optional Building but that is, in reality, critical to the whole story line!

The best way to address the issue of Necro Missions and Quests is to ensure that you have purchased and placed every Building that it is possible to purchase and place using the free in-game Money (i.e. not Donuts).

Maintaining The Story Line Missions & Quests is accomplished in just that fashion - so check to see if you have any "!" and then place any Building(s) you can and check again for "!" resulting from their placement. Getting those completed as fast as you can is the key to catching up on the Story Line!

2015 Springfield Census

In addition to keeping up with all of the Events and Story Line Missions you are also expected to both maintain and advance the population of your Springfield, as you restore both known and some unknown Characters and citizens back to your newly designed Springfield 2.0 (both standard AND the Premium Characters mind you).

With that in mind, we bring you the 2015 Springfield Census - a listing of all of The Characters that your Springfield SHOULD have in it. We do this once a year, usually at the beginning of the year, so that you can measure where you are at compared to where we are at, and so that you get a sense of where the average player SHOULD be at when they reach this stage in the game and its story.

The Census Listings each provides both obvious and implied information that is, in general, valuable to the typical player. The entry is -- line-by-line -- the C-No (Census Number); Unique Character Name; Character Class (Standard or Premium); Cost (the price of adding them to your town); and No. of Tasks (the number of unique jobs - or Tasks - that character has in their Actions Menu).

The value of the C-No is that it provides you with a population total for the year. The value of the No. of Tasks lone is that it provides an over-view of the variety of Tasks you have in your Springfield. The value of the other lines are self-explanatory.

In years past we were Content to simply provide a list of The Characters you should have so that you could tick them off to see if there were any you should have added but for some reason did not. The game is maturing, and now so too is that count list - into a proper Census. So yeah... Hey... Go us!

With all of that noted, your Springfield should include the following residents counted among the living:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

2015 Census

Every year we take a Census of the residents of Springfield to provide Tappers with an idea of what their town should look like under the best case scenario. Characters marked with a "P" are Premium Characters - meaning you had to spend real-world Money to get them for the most part.

Tappers who are playing the game with the intention of not spending Money - or spending as little as possible - can ignore the Premium Characters.

The residents of your Springfield have a direct impact on the missions and quests that you can flag and complete - so having as near a match to the Census as possible is a good idea.

Notes:

(1) Donuts and Obtaining Premium Characters / Buildings

Ideally there is no such thing as an optional character - especially if that character brings with it a set of missions or special quests - since every bit of new and story-boosting Content both counts and is important to Tappers the world over!

That said though, as many of The Characters with missions and/or quests attached happen to be of the Premium variety, if you are playing with the primary goal being to spend as little as possible in terms of real-world funds (or in the extreme, none at all) that will complicated matters.

Your best bet in that case is to save up your Donuts and only buy Buildings with mission-granting Characters. That is how we approached it and it works. There are, over time, sufficient free Donuts awarded so that you can leverage the sources to obtain the core and most important buildings and their characters - all you have to do is trade the time to do it.

Leveling up when you have already hit the cap is one of the best ways to obtain Donuts as you can get a maximum of three (3) free donuts with each level-up at cap! And that means playing. A lot. Just saying...

(2) Checking the Full List of Citizens

If you need to know which ones you have simply print the Census above and then use the Town Hall Character Locator Listing Database to tick-off the ones you have in your town. Easy-Peasy!

46 thru 50 Complete!

Reaching Level 50 in any game is a major milestone when the game is a level-base grinder, and Tapped Out is not an exception to that rule. We thought we should point that out, and celebrate the manner in which we have arrived at this position - a journey that required massive sacrifice, and a string of small gains that came in the form of constant gathering of XP that would never be applied to our accounts.

The way that this works for the senior players is rather simple - once they reach the Level Cap they can only gain XP up to the point where the cap is locked. After that any and all XP that they earn is essentially unsaved, released to the wind as it were. That is regrettable, but it is also a rather obvious mark of success!

Having reached Level 50 you must take a moment to celebrate not simply that milestone, but the rather long and involved relationship that you have had with the game and its Characters. Looking at this another way, it is really not at all surprising that Tapped Out has come to this point - after all we are talking about a game that was built using the canon and lore of a celebrated TV Show with well over 25-years of seasonal episodes!

So yeah, take a few minutes to mull that over - and take the time to celebrate your accomplishments here. Perhaps now would be a great time to set aside a block of space in the game and create a park to memorialize that accomplishment? Certainly a physical recognition of this long journey is warranted.

And when you have finished - and celebrated - tuck in your shirt mates, because we have another 50 levels at least and then some to go! Oh yeah!

I'm 12 years old, and i have just made it to level 50. But, what I'm thinking will make the game more interesting for other people is having the vehicles moving on the roads. Such as: Homer's car, Burns' limo, Chalmers' Honda etc...

The issue of Greta Wolfcastle - first sorry you feel that this was not handled to your satisfaction.

Great is a Premium Character that was added with the Level 47 Cap increase event. We just assumed that, since you had to purchase her, that was pretty obvious?

I will take a look at this section and see how it can be fixed. Thanks for the feedback Smile

This page is missing huge walkthrough pieces: who is Greta, and how do you get her? What do you need to do to unlock the Quimby Compound? Does the Moonbounce unlock once you've built the Strip Club? The walkthrough has been great up to this point, and now it's falling behind.

It must be really cool to get to and beat level 50. I've played for weeks and I'm only on level 13. Talk about commitment

I would be interested in seeing what other people have put together. Nice to celebrate their creativity and style. Is there a gallery somewhere (other than the google image ones)? I'm level 47, but still get new ideas and redo areas of my town, from time to time
