Easter Holiday Event 2015

1 April 2015

Welcome Tappers to the Easter 2015 Holiday Event! Coming off of the end of the Super Hero Event this should be a welcome change for old-school Tappers and a welcome boost for the new generation of Tappers as it will introduce them to what is by now a well-established event structure and, with any luck at all, help them to learn the ropes in an event that is far less confusing (and expensive) as the Superhero Event was!

So, from the top what we have is a traditional Tapped Out Holiday which takes the form of a story that is interlaced with some related missions and quests, perhaps a few new tasks, and a selection of new objects, Characters, outfits, and the like with which to improve one's Springfield. Still with us? Good!

What you will find here is the typical Holiday Event experience - which can be a good thing or not - all of that depending on you. Be prepared for some of the stuff to be Premium priced, and be prepared to WANT some of the stuff you have to pay for. Just saying.

New Objects / Items / Etc

As is often the case with official Holiday and Special Events there are, in addition to the new story and Mission lines, a selection of new objects, Items, outfits, Characters, and the like to be added to your Springfield - if you are so inclined.

Some of these will cost in-game currency (free) while others will cost Premium Currency (paid) and generally speaking much of the type you have to pay for with Premium Currency tends to be the sort of stuff you actually want to have. Sigh.

So yes, mostly these are returning Items and objects and, if you already own the one-offs they will NOT appear in your store but if they are objects you do NOT own, they WILL...

  • Banana Dictatorship (30D) Building / Limited Time

  • Blocks Store (50D) Building / Limited Time

Gil's Easter Deal

If you do not already know this, our good mate Gil is a bloke who makes his living by selling unlikely products and objects that tend to cost a lot (and usually for Premium Currency or real-world Money) door-to-door in good old Springfield!

Understand please that Gil sells YOU thinks you do not actually NEED - for pretty stiff rates. Though every now and then he does offer a legit deal... But this time around he is peddling statues from Easter Island - and perhaps a new take on an old religion that is pretty much right up Honer's alley (if we agree that Homer's alley is a place where he does not understand what he is getting himself into, and usually ends up being worse off than when he arrived)...

For the low-low price of 100D (that's 100 Donuts and that is NOT a low price) you can obtain from Gil a genuine Easter Island GOD statue/figure and transplant a religion nobody actually understands fully and one that will probably (eventually) require human sacrifice. Fair warning mates!

Requirements

  1. Reach Level 5

  2. Complete Homer's myPad Quest

This Premium Object delivers a 3% Bonus to Money and XP for all jobs.

This offer comes with a four-day (4-day) timer. You either buy it in that time or you don't. Your choice. If you DO choose to buy it, what you get is a big, brown, sometimes talking, Easter Island head. Cool that!

Easter Fools

The opening mission for the Easter 2015 Holiday Event! Natrurally enough we find Homer excited about the potential for half-off candy on the day after Easter, and his neighbor (a born-again Christian) Ned Flanders concerned that all Homer gets from this very important religious holiday is the candy angle...

Easter Egg Hunt

All the eggs have been decorated and concealed on the lawn of the White House - or is it in the Rose Garden?? Either way the kids from Maryland and Virginia - and DC - aare going to get in plenty of fun as one after one they are tracked down - I sure hope some adult kept a map, I am just saying!

Next up at the plate is Leeeee-Saaaah Simpson! A light-weight hitter with a bad self-esteem problem, Lady-L can deliver a scathing Blues Riff on pretty much any instrument you can name... Have her do the quick-n-dirty Easter Egg Hunt for another 5 free Donuts and an Easter Crack Egg so good on ya!

We're in the home stretch now and the path splits here between the Cool Kids who were already you know, here and stuff last year about this time and so already HAVE the Easter Parade Float, and them what do not.

Not All Donuts are Currency

As odd as this may sound learning the difference between a Donut that goes all yummy in your tum-tum and a Donut that you can use to purchase a Glock 17 with the serial numbers filed off? That is an important lesson to learn!

Make Comic Book Guy take a Trip to Lard Lad

Don't be a Hater man, because Haters gotta Hate! And he was totally right about that brah, all dogs DO go to Heaven!

Completing this mission also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Kirk Van Gogh

Did you know that the correct pronounciation for this name sounds more like "Curr-Ek Von Hock"? Really it is... Slum Lords are probably the lowest form of life in an urban environment, and since Cream naturally floats towards the top, as a bottom-feeder Kirk Van-G should be used to starving.

Make Kirk Advertise Slums

Completing this mission also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

That Ain't Right

Ned Flanders once again relies upon the wisdom of his Holy Bible and condemns science...
