The Culling: Origins Tips
Watch your Stamina
The most important stat in The Culling: Origins is Stamina and it is essential that you keep a constant eye on it in order to make the right decisions in a fight.
Inflict Free Damage
When you are fighting an opponent you can always pick up and throw any rocks and branches you see on the ground at them for free damage.
Melee Combat
In The Culling: Origins melee combat is highly effective which makes it essential you always have a melee weapon, even if it's just a dagger.
Always Open Crates
Even if you are fully geared up and no longer need to open crates or scavenge gear you should still open any crate you find in order to prevent your opponents opening them later and getting good gear.Just open the crate and discard whatever it is you don't need into the woods where your enemy can't find it.
Don't Run from Fights
In The Culling: Origins a popular perk amongst players is to combine 'Leg Day' with 'Runs with Knives' or 'Speedy Spear' in order to get a 20% movement bonus. If you encounter a player who has this perk you will not be able to get away from them unless you have the perk yourself. Trying to run away from the fight will just be wasting stamina and giving your opponent an easy kill so it is better to engage and commit to the fight straight away.
Hide in the Bushes
You can effectively use the foilage in The Culling: Origins to hide. If you are wearing camouflage cosmetics and crouch in the bushes and stay still it is extremely difficult for other players to see you as long as you do not move. If you use this trick with 'Stealthy' you will be able to easily ambush other players who unwittingly wanders near to where you are hiding.
Don't Trigger Traps
If you crouch-walk over traps they won't activate or damage you. The traps you can do this with includes Punji Sticks, Snares and Caltrops.
Always Try to Knock Down Airdrops Early
In order to get your Airdrop as fast as possible you will need to knock it down. This can be done by shooting or throwing any kind of item at it while the drone is still airborne. Bows are very good at knocking them down because you can shoot them when they're still flying high up. Using the Alarm Gun is the best way to knock them down, you can find this ranged utility item in the Tracker airdrop and in lockers.
Fully Charge Your Throws
It is important that you take the time to fully charge your throws, failing to do so will only do the minimum damage. You will almost always have time to fully charge a throw so make sure you get into the habit of doing it.
Regenerate Stamina Faster
You will be able to regenerate your Stamina a lot faster by standing still. If you are engaged in combat with another player and have some distance, you can stand still to regenerate a large chunk of Stamina and gain an advantage in the fight.
Craft a Blowgun
Consider crafting a Blowgun when you get the chance as the stun you get from the poison will give you two free fully-charged attacks and make your foe easier to hit with guns as it will prevent them from running away. It will also prevent your opponent from chasing you. The Blowgun can be particularly useful to have in the late-game.
Bleed Damage
If you craft a bow you can easily do Bleed damage to an opponent without even landing a melee hit.
