The Artful Escape Cheats and Tips

Here are our best cheats and tips for this game which includes some great tips for some of the more tricky achievements.

What can you do if double jump isn't working?

The Artful Escape is a platformer with a unique art style and setting, and you will be doing a lot of jumps in the game, including double jumps. Even if it's included in the game, there may be cases where it seems unresponsive.

If you are not able to do double jumps consistently, you might try lowering your game's resolution. For example, try lowering it to 50% and then check if your game will become more responsive with your double jumps.

Familiarize yourself with the controls

The type of platforming you do in The Artful Escape is quite simple since you will do some movement as well as jumps in order to get to the platforms that you need. However, there are two buttons that are unique. Since it's a game that is musical in nature, you will need to have access to your instrument, as well as interact with different stages in the game.

The Shred button lets you use your guitar to add some good visual effects that go alongside with the music, remember that you can shred in the air as well. You also have your button for ground pounds and stage activation. Another thing you need to remember are the buttons for following music. Check the corresponding buttons on screen to know which key you're about to play next.

Why am I missing achievements?

If you're the type that likes to complete achievements, you might take into consideration how much playthrough that you need for The Artful Escape. If you play the game at your own pace and just for a single playthrough, then there might be some achievements that are missable.

The game has a chapter selection available so you can go back to specific areas for completing your achievements. Use this feature in order to complete your collection. There are quite a number of achievements that are secret, therefore you need to be able to complete the task with no hint on how to get them.

How can I get the Stage Fright achievement?

In Chapter 1, you'll be going to the stage after talking to a girl. You will be bringing out your guitar in order to perform, but if you want to get the Stage Fright achievement, you will need to avoid playing music.

Instead of playing, let 3 minutes pass first. In doing so, you'll be able to unlock the Stage Fright achievement early on. You can also get this achievement on other chapters as long as you're doing a jam. Just let 3 minutes pass by.

How can I get the Light It Up achievement?

Once you reach chapter 4, you can use the shred button and hold in order to walk around and light up the buildings. You need to explore the entire area in Calypso and keep on shredding. In doing so, you will be interacting with the surrounding area and have things brighter than before.

In order to unlock the achievement, you must light up every building and area of Calypso. This includes an area that you will have to go down to a level, so don't miss that out.

How can I get the Snowman achievement?

Once you reach chapter 8, not only will you be doing some platforming work, but you will have a mini game that lets you match musical notes. Play through that mini game first and match the two sequences until you get to cross a bridge.

Keep on shredding until you slide down a path that has a snowman and a log towards the end. This snowman can actually be interacted with, so you need to use your guitar. If you keep on shredding next to the snowman, it should light up and unlock the achievement.

How can I get the Complete Hieliotromms achievement?

In Chapter 12, once you find Stargordon, keep on going to the right side and you should be able to find a stage there. You will have some conversation with a monster and then have a musical battle afterward.

Time your buttons right since things can get tricky in later phases. Your goal is to complete the battle, and you'll unlock the Complete Heliotromms achievement which requires you to jam with Tromms.

How can I get the How'd you get up there? achievement

Once you reach Chapter 14, you will follow a path to the right and pass by some bubbles. Look for the large bubble that's near the waterfall and use it to reach a small bubble on a platform above. The bubbles are on the ground and you should be able to reach a higher area with a ground pound.

While you're on the smaller bubble above, use a ground pound and you'll be able to jump higher. Air shred or double jump, and you should land on an archway which is above the next waterfall. Avoid heading to the right side, since you might miss the archway which will require you to repeat the chapter.

How can I get the New Threads achievement?

If you're playing Chapter 18, you will be able to go through different stores on the first and second floor where you will be able to customize your outfit. There are different options that you'll be able to select, so choose whichever you like.

After you have picked your gloves, head back to the first floor and talk to Frida. You will unlock the New Threads achievement since you created a custom outfit.

How can I get the Complete Hyperion achievement?

In Chapter 28, you will need to match musical notes with the large creature above. You will then be able to activate stages on both sides in order to unlock and activate the center stage.

Upon triggering, you will play a musical mini game which unlocks more stages on the sides. Complete both sides and then go back to the center for one last mini game. Completing this will provide the Complete Hyperion achievement, which requires you to jam with the GlamourGonn.
