4. Reach - This is how far you can reach. Be it mining or placing objects in the world.

5. Virtual pads - By placing your finger on the lower corners of the screen, these pads will appear. Control your characters movement with the left pad, actions with the right pad.

6. Pause / Options menu - Where you can toggle music and SFX on and off. Set the quick access bar from its default 5 to 10 slots, and controller configuration (if you have one).

When you first arrive, you are greeted to a randomly generated world that will be unique each time you create a world. Your first order of business is to go find trees to collect wood. You will have a copper axe in your inventory. Equip it by tapping on its icon and going toward a tree and use the Right Pad or by directly tapping and holding it with your finger.

Quick Tip: When chopping trees, go for the very base of the tree. There is no benefit in leaving a chopped tree. It doesn't re-grow. Going for the base also gets you all the wood the tree can offer.

After chopping a tree, you will receive units of wood depending on the size of the tree. Alongside this, you might probably get a few acorns. Acorns are used for re-planting trees for later harvesting. Planting these is a good idea so you won't have to go too far if you ever need more wood later on. Drag it to the bar to plant it if it isn't automatically placed in the bar.

Quick Tip: Acorns need space and fertile ground to grow. They can only be planted on Dirt tiles that have grass growing on them. Also to have a good chance at growing, it needs roughly five tiles. Sapling in the middle and two spaces to each side.
