Introduction

The game has you flying through the sky using freeze breath, heat revision and your strenght to battle a wide range of bad guys, from robots to genetically modified alien type creatures. However none of the bad guys are from the movie and there is no ame play relating to the movie only cut scenes.

Graphics

I was playing this game on my playstation 3 so it is not far to judge the graphics from me as the game was not intended for the playstation 3. However, the bad guys looked similar just different sizes and colours, the buildings were also the same. Watching explosions however was rather good.

Sound

Every normal attck sounded the same no matter if you hit a metal robot or an alien. The music in the game lacks interest I can only remember about there different tunes. However the noise of the explosions or someone freezing is really life like (not that I ave heard someone being froze before).

Gameplay

The game play is very repetitive, but it is hard to get tired of blowing robots hundreds of feet in the air wth your breath. The game flows the same pattern through out. You have a boss at the start of every chapter and then do silly missions like putting out burning buildings. Every so often you will get a cut scene ( the only references to the film) and you will get to fight something different.

Lastability

It took me about five hours to complete the game. However I did not colect all the cats, but thats just boring. Some missions can be tricky when you first play but no mission ever took more then two tries to complete. The game does have a lot of things to unlock however like costumes and pictures but nothing to keep your interest for longer than a few minutes. The only real interest is when your powers get upgraded and you see the difference in how easy the bad guys become.

Overall

Overall superman returns is nothing special it is a game to buy when it drops in price is on offer or you need a game to fill some time untill another game is released. Blowing things up, freezing things and flying is only fun for a while and then the game becomes really repetitive. My advise is by a different superhero game like spiderman or x men
