Super Mario Bros. Deluxe in a nutshell is a remake of the original Super Mario Bros. For the NES. However, it does have some unique things. If you score high enough, you can play a mini game where you race against the ghost, Boo, on eight different levels, which is fun. There is also Super Mario Bros. For Super Players, which is really hard, but rewarding. There are various other miscellaneous items as well. This game has to be a classic.
A nice remake of the classic Super Mario Bros.

There's a reason Super Mario Bros. keeps getting remade. And it's not just for the nostalgia. Aside from it's significance in the gaming world, which I don't need to delve too far into, Super Mario Bros. is an extremely well-crafted game that set the standard for game quality. SMB is a fast-paced 2-d platformer with plenty of challenge derived from just two simple controls - run and jump. It's a refreshing look at the power of simplicity in games and how to design levels on character controls, not vice versa. "Super Mario Bros.: for Super Players," commonly known as Lost Levels due to the SNES remake, is a sadistically difficult sequel to Super Mario Bros. that literally takes Mario to the limit of his abilities. It\'s worth mentioning that the SMBDX rerelease of Lost Levels is actually quite watered down, but still retains some of its signature difficulty that kept it from being the Super Mario Bros. 2 that Americans would come to know of. Additions are pretty nice - although I don't get the whole schedule/calendar shpeel, the customizable after-game messages (and music!) are pretty nice. The Boo races are actually a lot of fun themselves, too.
This isn\'t really a full review, but I hope I've gotten my sentiments across. Super Mario Bros. was a classic - DX built upon it and made it that much better. It's an absolutely wonderful game and I'd recommend it to anyone. 8.5/10
