Massive Imperial walkers descend on a Rebel stronghold in an epic game of attack and defend. Heroes are available for this mode. Vehicles are available for this mode. This mode supports up to a max of 40 players.
The vehicles in the world of Star Wars have always held a certain fascination for most players, so it is really no wonder that Walker Assault and the Squadron modes are the most popular with most players in Battlefront. Yeah... We get that.
In Walker Assault you basically have a mode that is divided into two very different objectives...
The Core Rebel Objectives are:
The Core Empire Objectives are:
From the above you should easily grasp the basics for each faction. The Rebel faction is the attacking faction, the Imperials the defending one.
Rebels should bear in mind that controlling uplinks and calling in bombing runs is absolutely the priority since the AT-ATs can ONLY be damaged and destroyed DURING those bombing runs!
The Imperials should therefore understand that interdicting the uplinks is their key to victory. If the Imperial forces manage to prevent the Rebel forces from activating uplinks they will easily win the game.
If on the other hand the Rebels manage to launch bombing runs, the Imperials must protect their AT-ATs as well as they can as the Rebels will attack them during the bombing raids, which is when the walkers become vulnerable to attack.
If the Rebel forces launch attacks using the Airspeeders or Landspeeders (with their tow cables) bear in mind that damaging the speeders will break the tow cable. So if you are defending your AT-ATs that should be your priority strategy wise.
If you are the Rebel forces and intend to use the speeders to attack the Walkers, you will need to destroy any emplacements
