(Operation: Snake Eyes)
Head north towards the mission marker to trigger the next part of the story. There’s a berry merchant here so resupply if you need to. Use the healing point as well. Once the detachment has dispatched, Victor’s subordinates will also join your party.
From your starting point, head north to find a chest containing Attack Seeds. Clear the first set of enemies then head to the second group. Shortly after, Emmerson and Anne will regroup your party. After clearing that group, open your menu and make sure to equip the necessary items and roles to Anne and Emmerson so they can help with the battle more efficiently.
Continue east and take note of the locked chest’s location for now then head south. There, you’ll have to battle Der-Suul and his soldiers. There’s no special tactics needed for this battle against him. Just attack and take out their softer targets like spellcasters and healers. Once they’re out of the way, concentrate your attack on him to force him to retreat. Next, take out the remaining enemy soldiers to end the battle and complete the operation.
After the conversation, you can now save your game and use the inn. Anne and Fiore will temporarily leave the party to do what they need to do. While inside the inn, get the Vitalitea from the chest inside one of the rooms in the inn.
You can leave the inn and check out the liberated town’s bulletin board for a couple new Quests. You can also get a couple of new ingredients from the merchant (Cocoa Powder and Fermentation Pot) and new equipment from the provisioner near the merchant. Finally, get the Love Potion No. 256 from the chest on a ledge to the east of the town.
When you’re ready to continue with the story, head to the inn and talk to receptionist to spend the night free of cost. Leave your room then leave the inn. Head to the mission marker in the map to find Anne and Emmerson talking to each other. After talking with them, head to the next mission marker which will lead you back to the inn.
The following morning, your party will reconvene and you’ll all agree to your next destination. Before leaving, there are Private Actions you can trigger in the town. Make sure to exhaust viewing them all by resting at the inn over and over again. One of the Private Actions you can view between Miki and Fiore titled “Patch Conversion” unlocks the Pinchfist role.
After viewing all Private Actions, you can reach the Resulian Plains through the town’s eastern exit. This will allow you to complete more Quests and view more private actions that have been made available to the other towns. (Recommended!) Otherwise, if you want to continue with the story, exit to the Trei’kuran Dunes and you’ll find the mission marker to the southwest.
Tip #1: After the series of developments in the story, the instances of the Cathedrals of Oblivion will now have more rooms, enemies, and a new boss called the Vidofnir.
Tip #2: One of the newer Quests you can get in Central Resulia is titled “Survive This!” which will require you to hunt down the Eitalon henchmen in the Passage on the Cliffs. Completing this quest will unlock the Lockpicking specialty skill, which will allow you to open all those Locked Chests. Consider completing this quest as early as you can to get the valuable contents these locked chests contain! (These group of Eitalon survivors doesn’t respawn using the Ocarina or by natural means. You have to hunt them down in their fixed locations)
Once you have unlocked Lockpicking, spend 500 SP to activate it and you can now open any of the Locked Chests. It’s up to you if you want to walk around the various areas with Locked Chests. Take note that these will give your party members access to some of the very powerful battle skills at this point of the game.
Tip #3: Welch has another quest open for you. This will unlock the Engineering specialty, which will allow you to craft some of technological equipment and consumable items like some of those required in later Quests. Anne and Emmerson may benefit from this ]since they can equip the gears and learn new battle skills (via CQC Program) this specialty can produce.
Tip #4: Three new Santeroule Quests will award you with two new Skill Books and a specialty book. (Wanted: Randaghor, Open Season on Mujas, and Quiet Down in There!) It’s a long walk to Santeroule but getting these skill books will help you a lot, especially the Pneuma Signets, Vol. 1 which will teach Miki or Fiore the invaluable Raise Dead skill. This should be your second copy. (The first one is reward from defeating the walking Armor bosses in the Western Dakaav Tunnel)
The specialty book will unlock the Haggling specialty which will increases the prices of goods you sell to shops.
