After the scenes, you’ll be in Castle Bariff with Fiore, Miki, Fidel, and Victor, with the communicator gone and with Emmerson and Anne temporarily out of the party. Arrange your party members' equipment and roles then leave the castle.
There are also new sidequests available. However, without the Communicator and the transporter, you won’t be able to conveniently switch locations as much as you need to; so you're back in the old school method of walking in between locations. Head to the inn and rest and/or save the game. This should allow you to do some Private Actions. Repeat until you exhaust the private actions in Central Resulia.
The enemies all around would have evolved as well, giving you more EXP, FOL, and components to farm. When you're ready to continue wit the story, exit through the capital’s southwest gate. Back in the Resulian Plains, continue through the winding narrow mountain path further west to reach the Western Dakaav Tunnel.
Tip: Runaround Ruddle: This quest will unlock the "Familiar" specialty. This allows you to call a bunny familiar that can shop for basic items in your behalf, anytime and anywhere. This is pretty handy for resupplying your party when you're deep in dungeons and hostile territory. The items you can order will depend on the Specialty level.
When you’re done doing all the sidequests you can do at this point, return to Central Resulia and exit through the capital’s southwest. Continue further west to reach the Western Dakaav Tunnel.
This tunnel has new enemies and the place where you can farm Damascus Steel and Coal. Some of the other Quests can be completed during your visit in this dungeon as well. This location also has a lot of mining nodes so if your mining specialty level is high enough, you can get rather uncommon and rare minerals from the nodes here. For the treasure chests, refer to the map above.
In the first split in the road, go south then clear the enemies along the way. Proceed to the second split to the SW then grab the Willmaw Bow from the chest in the deadend to the NW. Backtrack to the main path and turn north this time.
The dead end to the NW only has a mining node so turn east this time and collect the Swordsman Manual I in the deadend near the tunnel’s first split path. Now backtrack and head to the west this time. Before reaching the next split path further west right in front of the locked chest, grab the Ruby x2 from the dead-end path off the main path.
Continue with the main path and check out the dead end to the SW if you want. It has several mining nodes and more enemies. Once done, head north and pick up Diligence Potion x2 from the chest along the way and excavate more mining nodes. Continue until you reach the save point. Save your game then continue forth.
You’ll be facing two heavily armored enemies ahead (Nillheim, the Armor that Roams, and Nifhel, the Armor that Walks). They have high defense and HP and are capable of knocking down your characters quite easily. Keep the aggro to your fighters and continuously attacking them. They can easily break your guard so anticipating their attacks and performing quick evasions is the best way to keep your Reserve Gauge intact. If they start targeting Miki or Fiore, take control of them and keep them at a safe distance. Use Cancel bonuses for efficient damage output. Miki’s Faerie Healing will do the job in keeping everyone’s HP up, just keep her safe from the two enemies. After defeating them, you’ll get the Pneuma Signets, Vol. 1.
If you have the bulletin board quest “Wanted: Chaos Corpse Corporals”, they are located in the chamber SE where you fought the walking armors.
Save your game again if you want then proceed to the tunnel’s exit. You’ll be back in the Trei’ Kuran Dunes.
