This great new game from radical(the makers of simpsons hit and run) has a licence from the ledgendary al pacino film-scarface. The story of the game sees Tony Montana surviving the mansion shootout instead of being shot in the back. So the first mission is tony blasting his way through sosas soldiers. The rest of the game has tony(you) building your drug empire back.
Pretty decent actually for a PS2 game. Miami is well realised with plenty of hustle and people and the buildings are cool (babylon club). The cars are very nice- the road ones are rubbish but the ones you buy form your garage are very cool especially the interior of the first car you get. Tonys suits are nice as well so you can't complain about the amount of effort gone into the graphics.
Couldnt be better.n if you like good sound in a game then look no further. The tracks are amazing combining everythig- from hip-hop to rock to classic scarface tracks. And the way you acces your tracks couldnt better because you acces them from an in game menu even on foot (wink wink rockstar) the voices are also good even though al pacinos voice isnt there the guy who does it is really good (especially the swearing). Elsewhere the voices are great BTW ricky gervais puts his voice in (yay).
Excelent for people who like htis type of game e.g GTA fans or driver fans. Plenty of polished shooting with an impressive lock on system where you can target specific body parts 24: the game style and when you hit the bodypart the game tells you it by sighns like RIGHT NUT or GROIN showing up on the screen. Also the blind rage mode that you activate when you filled up your balls meter (yes it is called that) is a very nice touch. The drug dealing and other things are controlled by a clever mini-game. Complete with simpsons hit and run style driving the game becomes a very nice package.
Not as much as gta but still plenty to do. Taking over all the turfs doing all the missions and sub missions and even buying exotics to pimp out your mansion. There are a vast amount of sub missions as well some are activated by switching characters with your hired henchmen. Free-roaming can also clock on many joyful hours but the real winner is replay value. Unlike the long gta this slightly shorter but very engaging game will have you playing it again over and over again.
Overall this is a nice package for a lot of people especially the free roaming fans. So if you crave more gta gameplay this definetly should please that craving nicely. Scarface movie fans migth also like the idea of an alternative ending and a sort of playable sequel in where you take on sosa.
