How to Progress

Progression in Rise of Cultures is achieved by building and expanding your city. This involves following the questline, producing resources, building an army of troops, making upgrades, expanding, uncovering new regions, defeating enemies and conquering their regions, and unlocking researches. Below is a list of the Eras that are currently in Rise of Cultures.

- Stone Age

- Bronze Age

Always Build Homes

It is crucial in Rise of Cultures that you always build the maximum number of homes possible as this determines how far you can progress or upgrade. Homes are where the builders can be located, and they are the ones dealing with building and upgrading. Not only having the maximum number of homes ensures your empire will continue to grow it will also produce coins which is a useful resource in the game.

Cultural Site Boost

Make sure you take advantage of Cultural Sites when you stumble upon them while putting up buildings for your empire. A Cultural Site will provide a happiness bonus to all facilities that you place around it. A good strategy is to place resource sites or some barracks near the Cultural Sites to get the most out of it.

Get Free Resources

In Rise of Cultures it is essential that you are continually gathering resources, and you can get free resources by completing the activities the game offers. These will periodically pop-up, or you will receive a notification when a new activity is available. When you complete the activity there is a possibility that you will be rewarded with gems which you can then use to get more resources, or some exclusive loot.

Have a Plan to get Resources Plan

It is important that you have a plan in place which enables you to continually receive resources. Having no resources will make progressing in the game a lot more difficult. To prevent having a lack of resources you need to be wary when you spend those that you have at your disposal upgrading buildings as you progress with the questline. If your resources are low you can simply log off the game and return later to more resources to use.

Keep Production Facilities Busy

In order to have a continuous stream of resources you need to keep all your production facilities busy. As long as you are logged into the game and your productions lines are busy you will continue to receive resources. Keep in mind that as you progress through the different ages of time the number of resources needed to perform upgrades and erect buildings will increase.

Once you reach the Bronze Age in Rise of Cultures you will be able to create wonders. These are huge monuments that offer powerful, unique bonuses.
