Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well basically, this is a Game Script FAQ for the game "Sonic Rivals". If you don't know what a Game Script is, it is basically a FAQ telling you what the characters say during the game (Word by word, as in, a script) and helps you understand the story better without having to replay the game over and over. It also helps people who do not own or want the game keep up with the storyline of the franchise. In this particular FAQ, I will write the scripts of every character's seperate story in the order shown in the "Table of Contents" above. Also note that the asterisks I place in this FAQ are to show what is going on or what has happened. When I use "(( ))"'s, it means I am talking; I do this to seperate my words from the script. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ D. Characters ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Sonic: Sonic is the fastest thing alive. After discovering that Eggman has turned Amy and Tails into cards, he sets out to save them and defeat Eggman once again. 2. Knuckles: Knuckles is a powerful red Echidna who has lived his whole life in Angel Island, guarding the Master Emerald. The Master Emerald seems to have disappeared right in front of Knuckles' eyes however; Eggman seems to know something about the Master Emerald. Knuckles now sets out to retrieve the Master Emerald and defeat Eggman before Sonic does. 3. Shadow: Shadow is the Ultimate Lifeform created by Gerald Robotnik. Shadow was summoned by Eggman asking for his aid. After discovering something strange going on thanks to Rouge, he sets out to get to the bottom of things. 4. Silver: The mysterious hedgehog with telekinetic powers from the future has traveled to the present in search of Eggman Nega, who has traveled back in time with a device he shouldn't have and shouldn't exist in the present. 5. Metal Sonic: Sonic's robotic copy strikes back! Metal Sonic was last seen in Sonic Heroes as "Neo Metal Sonic", in which he was defeated by Sonic and friends. He has now returned, somehow allied with Eggman Nega. Can Sonic defeat him again? 6. Eggman: The brilliant scientist is once again up to his schemes, he seems to have gotten ahold of a special camera that turns people into cards. Can Sonic stop him before it's too late? 7. Eggman Nega: Last seen in Sonic Rush and thought to be Eggman's parallel self from an alternate dimension. Now it is clear that he is from the future, the same future that Silver lives in. What can his true role be in this story? 8. Amy: Sonic's "girlfriend" who he always tries to avoid. Amy has been turned into a card by Eggman and it's up to Sonic to save her. 9. Tails: Sonic's long time friend and genius mechanic has been turned into a card by Eggman, it is Sonic's job to rescue both Tails and Amy! 10. Rouge: Rouge is a treasure hunter (or theif) and a goverment agent. After discovering Eggman's true identity in the game, her life gets on the line and it is Shadow's job to save her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ E. Sonic's Story ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------- Beginning (Scene 1) ------------------- *The story starts out almost immediatly with a confrontation between Sonic and Eggman* Eggman: Ho ho ho ho! It's been a while, hasn't it, Sonic? Sonic: Hey, Eggman! What have you done with Amy and Tails!? *Eggman takes out two cards* Eggman: Not to worry, they're sound asleep inside these cards. *Knuckles appears* Knuckles: Hey, Eggman! The Master Emerald is gone... I'll bet you're behind this, aren't you?! Eggman: Heh heh heh... Yes, that's right! *Eggman takes out a camera* Eggman: This camera lets me turn anything into a card... And I'll use it to create the ultimate card collection! *Eggman takes out the two cards again* If either of you want these cards, you'll need to catch me first! Ho ho ho ho! *Eggman leaves* Knuckles: Wait! Come back here! No hard feelings, Sonic, but this time there's no way you're gonna beat me! Sonic: Okay, Knuckles... Then let's race for it! First one who gets Eggman takes all! *Stage begins* -------- Scene 2 -------- *Sonic and Knuckles have caught up with Eggman* Sonic: All right, Eggman! Hand over those cards! Eggman: Hmmm... I suppose if you win my little contest, I could give you a card of your choosing. Knuckles: What!? That's not what you said before! Sonic: Heh! Pretty much what I expected from you, Eggman. Okay, bring it on! *Boss battle begins* --------------------------- After Boss battle (Scene 3) --------------------------- Eggman: Grr! I'll get you, Sonic! *Eggman leaves* Sonic: Hey, get back here, Eggman! *Silver appears* Silver: Get out of my way, I've got some personal business to take care of. Sonic: Hey! You sure have an attitude. Who are you, anyway? Silver: My name is Silver... I can't tell you why, but I need to get to him before you. Sonic: Okay, Silver. Bring it on... I like challenges! *Stage begins* -------- Scene 4 -------- *Sonic and Silver catch up to Eggman* Sonic: Okay! Now hand over those cards! Eggman: Grrrrr... Silver: Hey! Move aside. I already told you I need to talk to him first. Sonic: Yo Silver... you're starting to get on my nerves! Silver: Enough of this chit chat... prepare yourself! *Boss Battle begins* --------------------------- After Boss battle (Scene 5) --------------------------- Silver: It's too dangerous to get close to him! Hyah! Sonic: Hey, what're you doing!? Wha-! *Sonic is teleported to some carnival-like place* Sonic: Where am I!? Looks like we've been transported to a completely different location... *Shadow appears* Shadow: Sonic! What are you doing here? And where's the doctor? Sonic: Hey, look it's Shadow!? Now I get it, he must be looking for Eggman, too. It must be another race to see who can catch him first! Let's do it! *Stage begins* -------- Scene 6 -------- Sonic: Heh. Looks like I've left Shadow clear in the dust. Guess he's really not as fast as he thinks. *Eggman appears* Eggman: Hoh ho ho ho! That was a thrilling little contest there, Sonic! Sonic: Eggman! What are you up to this time? Eggman: Heh heh heh... You must be proud of yourself, having beaten Shadow so handily. How do you feel about trying out your skills against my lovely Metal Sonic? Sonic: Wh-what? Metal Sonic?! Eggman: Come forth, Metal Sonic! Show this pathetic hedgehog what you're capable of! Now, Sonic, let's see if you really are the fastest thing in the world, shall we? Hoh ho ho ho! *Race against Metal Sonic begins* ----------------------------------- After beating Metal Sonic (Scene 7) ----------------------------------- Sonic: Eggman said something about the strongest and fastest... What's he up to? Ah ha! Looks like I've caught up to him again! Hey, Silver! We meet again! Silver: Sonic! Dang! How did he manage to get back here so quickly? Sonic: Heh! While you've been wasting your time, I've been figuring his next move... Silver: What!? Sonic: If you can keep up, I might tell you what I know! Let's go! *Stage begins* -------- Scene 8 -------- *Silver and Sonic catch up to Eggman again* Sonic: Okay, Eggman! I've proven that I'm the fastest and the strongest! So hand over Tails' card now! *Eggman takes out cards* Eggman: You want this card that badly, eh? Hmm... I suppose I have enough data... But if I defeat you now, there won't be anyone left to get in my way in the present, or in the future... Silver: The future!? You've given yourself away! Sonic: Heh! That's only IF you can defeat me! Bring it on Eggman! *Boss battle begins* --------------------------- After Boss battle (Scene 9) --------------------------- Eggman: Curse you, Sonic! I won't forget this! Sonic: Yes! I got Tails' card back! *Sonic rescues Tails* Tails: Phew! Sonic, you saved me! But be careful! I just know that Eggman's got some more tricks up his sleeve. Sonic: Don't worry! He can try whatever he wants, but there's no way he's getting away with it. *Knuckles appears* Knuckles: Sonic? Is that you? And Tails, too? That must mean that you got the card back from Eggman. I'm too late! Sonic: Sorry about that, Knuckles, but if you're trying to stay on Eggman's heels, you have to be quicker than that. Knuckles: ...You better shut your mouth! So you think you can track down Eggman faster than me? Let's do this. *Stage begins* --------- Scene 10 --------- Sonic: You can't run, Eggman! No matter where you try to hide, I'll always track you down. Eggman: Humph! Mouthing off as always... If you're so eager to finish things, why don't you let me oblige you! Metal Sonic! I command you! Sonic: What, that lame robot copy of yours again? You really need to get ahold of some better toys, you know. Eggman: Heh heh heh... The previous Metal Sonic was able to capture data from your last match... Data I was able to recover! I've already upgraded this new model with that data so that it'll be wise to your little tricks. This time, it's YOU who's going to get sent to the junkyard, Sonic! Sonic: A copy is still just a copy! It'll never be able to top the original! *Second race with Metal Sonic begins* ------------------------------------ After beating Metal Sonic (Scene 11) ------------------------------------ Eggman: Grr! Enough of this already! Let's see how you fare against both me and Metal Sonic! Sonic: Makes no difference to me! Let's go! *Boss battle begins* ----------------------------- After Boss battle (Scene 12) ----------------------------- Eggman: Unforgivable! You've just made me very very angry! *Takes out camera* Fine then! I'll use this camera to turn the whole planet into a card! Sonic: Are you running away again, Eggman!? Get back here and fight! Eggman: Ho ho ho ho! You can just sit back and watch! Farewell! *Knuckles appears* Knuckles: Dang it! I'm too late! *Tails appears with the Tornado* Tails: Sonic, Knuckles, get in! We can still catch up to him in my new Tornado plane! Sonic: Great timing, Tails! Let's pull together on this one, Knuckles! Knuckles: All right then... Now let's teach that Eggman a lesson! *They make it to Eggman's Meteor Base* Knuckles: I'll give you a hand, Sonic! Let's take care of him together! I've already gathered enough energy to take a picture of the entire planet! *Takes out a card* Once I put this final card through my energy transfer device, the world will be mine! Nice knowing you, Sonic! Hoh ho ho ho! Sonic: That's Amy's card! I totally forgot about her! ((<-- lol at this)) Tails: We have to hurry before he converts Amy's card into energy! Sonic: Then we gotta hurry! You're not getting away, Eggman! *Final Boss battle begins* -------------- Sonic's ending -------------- *Sonic has rescued Amy* Amy: Where... where am I? You use it like this! *Eggman activates the card and a light appears in front of Knuckles* Knuckles: What!? There's that light again! *Knuckles is teleported to a carnival-like area* Knuckles: Dang it! Where did he go! *Silver appears* Silver: He certainly knows how to run, I'll give him that... Hey, you there! Did you see that guy carrying something strange? Knuckles: Actually... he has this weird camera that changes things into cards... Wait a minute... Who are you? Silver: What's you say!? How did he get a hold of it? Knuckles: You...! What are you mumbling about? Silver: Got no time to waste on you. See ya! Knuckles: You little... Get back here! *Stage begins* -------- Scene 6 -------- *Knuckles has caught up to Eggman (Still in the carnival-like area)* Knuckles: Hey, Eggman! How did you make the Master Emerald disappear from Angel Island? Eggman: Hmm... Well... You came from Angel Island, didn't you? What you don't seem to realize is that this IS Angel Island. Knuckles: What!? This is Angel Island!? You're not making any sense, Eggman! Eggman: Heh heh heh. Do you need an explanation, then? Very well! If you can manage to defeat my Metal Sonic, I'll tell you what you want to know. Knuckles: What the...? Metal Sonic?! This oughta be fun! Bring it on, Eggman! *Race against Metal Sonic begins* ----------------------------------- After beating Metal Sonic (Scene 7) ----------------------------------- Knuckles: Come to think of it, the shape of this island is similar to Angel Island... But the real Angel Island is still there, right? So this one's got to be a fake... Argh! I just don't get it! *Knuckles spots Shadow* Knuckles: Hey, isn't that Shadow over there?! He might know where Eggman is! Hey, Shadow! Did you find Eggman? Shadow: Heh... Looks like the doctor got away from you again... Knuckles: Shut up! I was this close to catching him! There's no way you're gonna beat me to him! *Stage begins* --------- Scene 8 --------- *Shadow and Knuckles once again catch up to Eggman in snowy terrain* Shadow: Doctor! Wait! Knuckles: Hey, Eggman! Earlier you said this was Angel Island... What did you mean? Explain yourself! Eggman: *Sigh* Such annoying pests... It may be too much for your puny little brain to grasp, but this is Onyx Island, or Angel Island from the future! Knuckles: What!? The future!? Eggman: Just like I thought... A bit too much for your little brains to comprehend. Enough of this small talk! Time to take care of both of you! *Boss Battle begins* --------------------------- After Boss Battle (Scene 9) --------------------------- Knuckles: Dang it! He got away again! If there's one thing he's good at, it's running. But what did he mean, though? How is this place Angel Island from the future? And what does it all have to do with the Master Emerald disappearing? Arrgh! Gah, it just doesn't make any sense! I've just got to track Eggman down again and force him to tell the truth! *Knuckles spots Sonic* Knuckles: Huh? Sonic? Is that you? And Tails, too? Sonic: Yo, Knuckles! Did you decide to give up on your little quest to track down the Master Emerald? Knuckles: Grr... You better shut your mouth! I'm not letting you make a fool of me again! Let's go, Sonic! *Stage begins* ---------- Scene 10 ---------- *Knuckles reaches Eggman* Knuckles: Enough of this, Eggman! You'd better start explaining what's going on! Eggman: Fine! If you want to know so badly, I'll tell you! I turned the Master Emerald into a card using my camera by taking a picture of it from the future Angel Island. Since the Master Emerald is a unique object that exists across the time-space continuum... When the future emerald was turned into a card, its existence in all the time frames vanished as well. Knuckles: So that's why the Master Emerald disappeared from right in front of me! Eggman: So you finally understand. Using the power of the Emerald, I brought all of Angel Island here, into this time frame. Knuckles: So I see...all this is your fault! Eggman: Ho ho ho ho! I have nothing more to say to you! Go play with Metal Sonic now! *Race against Metal Sonic begins* ------------------------------------ After beating Metal Sonic (Scene 11) ------------------------------------ Knuckles: How do you like that? Eggman: Don't think you've won yet! Let's see how you do against both me and Metal Sonic! What happened to him? *Shadow spots Silver and Eggman* Shadow: Huh? What's this... A silver hedgehog? And... He's chasing... the doctor!? Hey you! What do you want with the doctor!? I'll let Metal Sonic play with you in order to buy me the time I need to quietly sneak away. Oh, and you'll find that Metal Sonic is a tad bit more of a capable opponent than before. Heh heh heh... Silver: Eggman NEGA! I'm not letting you get away! *Race against Metal Sonic begins* ------------------------------------- After beating Metal Sonic (Scene 11) ------------------------------------- Silver: All right, Eggman NEGA! That means my future would be destroyed as well! Eggman NEGA: *Takes out a card* If I can't change the future, I'll simply destroy it! There's nobody who can stop me now! Farewell. Silver: You're not getting away with this, Eggman NEGA! I won't let you ruin the future! *Final Boss battle begins* ---------------- Silver's Ending ---------------- Silver: Eggman NEGA... It looks like he lost control of his machine, and got turned into a card himself... As soon as I can collect the other cards, and take care of Eggman NEGA's mess, I'll head back to the future...
