Intro [INTRO]

Two of the tough things in any RPG are deciding which character/class
to choose and figuring out how to distribute your ability points.
This list is here to help you make those choices by showing you what
abilities you'll be able to choose for each character and how they
improve through each rank.

Class Changes [CLASS]

In Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony, you begin in a basic class
determined by the character you chose, and then get choose a "Hero"
class at level 30 and a "Legendary" class at level 60.  There are
two Hero classes and four Legendary classes for each character - two
for each of the Hero classes.  the abilities in this list appear in
the order they appear in the game, and I've put the Legendary classes
after the Hero class they fall under.

Special note on Throne of Agony's magic system: [ASN]

In the majority of RPGs where characters can learn magical skills,
individual elements have their own skills like Fireball,
Ice Bomb, and Chain Lightning.  Throne of Agony has gone a completely
different direction with their magic user, Allister.

In ToA, Allister learns magical "modes."  There are five in all, but
you can only learn four during a single play-through.  From Level 1,
Allister will be able to use Fire mode, and as he levels up, he will
learn Frost and Lightning modes.  Your choice of Hero class
determines the last mode that Allister will learn.  If you choose
Vile Wizard, Allister will learn Death mode.  If you choose White
Wizard, Allister will learn Arcane mode.

Many of Allister's abilities have different effects depending on
which mode is currently active.  For example, in Fire mode, Spell
Blast will deal Fire damage and burn enemies, causing them to lose
some health over time.  In Frost mode, Spell Blast (the same spell)
will deal Frost damage and slow enemies.

In this chart, I have listed these skills in the most logical way
I could.  In most cases, this meant listing the skills mode by mode.
In those cases, I specified which of the columns remain the same
for all elements.


To switch between modes, hit down on the D-pad in the field.  A
pop-up menu will appear in the lower left-hand corner, showing the
current mode as well as icons for any other mode Allister knows.
Use the D-pad to choose the mode you want to switch to and hit the
X button to select it.
