The characters have to ask you to be thier partner and go in to database to see how much they like you whith a heart meter. Give them sandwiches, duel them, and talk to them and the meter will rize.
You have to duel talk and give them sandwiches until they have 7 hearts when they do, they will ask you to be their partner
