planting a crop
I need to plant a crop to harvest sandalwood but I don't know how or wear to plant a crop can anyone help me?

You need to use Ash from fires you have made when it says 'sweep', then you can put it on the ground and as long as you have the tool you need (the hoe I think) then you can put whatever food or resources into the Ash to grow things.. Hope that helps :0)

Something to plant like a fruit/veggie. Find the "Cultivatable Soil Patch"
Plan under Object Plans. Let it grow for a while and then you can harvest it
Later.

You can make a crafting bench out of bamboo and and you should be able to make one out of nothing at first beach. At least thats how it is on the wii version.

get the ash from burnt things and if u dunt have any ash 2 sweep up, place ur fire pit under a small roof. NOT UR HOUSE ROOF ANOTHER ROOF. BUILD IT. soon the roof will burn and let it burn. dunt panic. u can get ashes from the burnt remains of ur roof.

Sandal woods cannot be planted. Instead find them on geyser plains with stone hoe

First of all:- YOU can't PLANT A TREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steps to plant a tree ;)
1. Make an Emergency Fire Pit
2.Let it burn
3. Wait for a rain
4. Go near it.
5. Select the option SWEEP ASHES.
6. Then press the select button and select Plans ans Ideas
7. Go to Object plans.
8. Press R1 and go to Special Plans
9.There you'll see Cultivatable Soil Patch.
10. Make one of those then go near it and and select plant crop then choose the thing that you want to plant wait for a while and then come and see.
